Saver-upper why don't you put the money aside somewhere you can't easily get at, but still accessible (eg the back of an unused drawer, in a section of your purse/handbag/wallet you never use) and if you haven't needed to touch it for say a week or so then it's safe to pot. If you do need it, it's there, but if you don't spend it then you may as well pot it ;)

Thank you,Selene.Yes,I think that is what I will do.For now it is still in the envelopes I was paid in.Will hide those from myself for a while, then, maybe if I haven't needed it by the end of the month, will pot it.

Hello again, SPCers! I hope you're all enjoying your week, potting well too, of course you are. ;) If you're unwell or not feeling the normal you then cuddle up with some fuzzy {{{hugs}}} just for YOU! :grinheart

    Before I go any further:
Have a Very Happy Birthdayjakes-mum, make sure you have a really special time and are treated like a star!! :bdaycake:

I must admit that it's sad to see folk already opening their pots, not so bad IF you're in dire need of the cash, but for curiosity???? Be very careful everyone as curiosity could be the undoing of all your savings and it may well end up being wasted!! :( Keep it all safely in the pot and wait for all the pleasure in November, ready for a lovely Christmas!

Have been potting away though. My brother is getting married next May and he lives in Canada - I'd love to go so I might save this year's pot until then! We'll see. Am dropping a grade and some hours at work next month so may not be possible. Hey ho.
    Hope everyone is thriving!
Off to read back now, have missed loads :(
    TDx

Don't worry, TheDapster, as you know, I'm so very forgiving! ;) I do hope you're able to save for your brother's Wedding in Canada, what a time/experience that would be! Go for it. :D

Hello again Fiasco! It's lovely to have you drop by too. BTW, please pop your banked cash total on your siggy as you'll forget by November.

Pab233, I've sent you a PM asking you to swap your old SPC No over for the new one 451, please kindly do so for me. Thanks so much.

Have a really lovely holiday next week, Chutney, enjoy it all. Great savings and thanks so much for popping it on your siggy.

Hi everyone, I've not been on here for ages but I am still potting away. Only difference is I now have 2 pots instead of one!!!

I am taking my grandchildren to Peppa Pig World and Legoland in July. So I've started saving my £1 pounds and notes in another pot to use for spending money. I am still saving change and coppers in my pot for this challenge. I have no idea what I have in this tin.

Once the holiday is over I will start the seriou saving for this challenge

    Morning Everyone... :)

I'm potting another 60p this morning....Was just thinking if I can get £100 just from this Challenge alone it would be GREAT....and I would really feel like I've achieved something... So that's my Aim for this Year... :D

But I'm doing a few other little personal Challenges.....One is the Penny a Day Challenge, not sure if there is a Thread on here for that....but I'm doing it anyway....and doing rather well and on track so far....and the other one is the £366 in 366 Days Challenge...a little behind on that one so far....but I'll get there... :D Not sure if I can include these in the Totals at the end of the Year on here Sue??

I'm doing MUCH better this past Week....it's been a MUCH better Week and I'm starting the Weekend feeling positive and hopeful....

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Holiday Sue and look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.... :)

*Hugs* for anyone that needs them....and I'll try to Update more often.... Thanks for reading my ramblings of this morning!! xXx :)

    Hello,

Can I join please? My plan is to add the money I save by taking a cheaper travel option to work (£1.70/day) and by not buying take away coffee each day (£2 per coffee). I won't achieve this every day but joining the SPC will give me an incentive to try to do it more often.
I'll also add any roadkill (Hopefully I'm not the only one who thought roadkill was something else until I found out what it refers to! Sometimes the occasional common sense bypasses I have quite scare me).
I've made a nice coffee in the stovetop pot this morning (instead of buying one) so will put my first £2 to my moneybox.
Hope you have a lovely time in Scotland Sue.
