Hello again, SPCers! I hope you've all enjoyed a really good week with such splendid weather. Time now to settle down to revel in a glorious weekend!!!!! :j If you're unwell or not feeling the normal you then cuddle up with some fuzzy {{{hugs}}} just for YOU! :grinheart

Not to worry about not counting, 32b3, so long as you remain potting you know you'll have that BIG surprise in November as you always have!
Still around, I haven't put anything in the pot recently, but only because I have been managing my money in a different way.

Husband has been putting his coppers in.

No matter who does the potting, kezbabybabe, you can still rely on some good saving in November! Well done your hubby! :D

Very well done, parksandrec, you're doing really well just lately so keep it coming!!

£7 added today from a refund, from a item I returned as it didn't fit so decided to pot it :-)

Good for you in putting the money from the refund in your pot, Westie, let's face it, we don't miss that sort of cash. :D

I think I get your drift, MrsShazbat, one very lucky hubby I'm sure you were saying! He most certainly was.
I have put all my kitchen-y stuff in the kitchen, but now OH needs to empty all his [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasure from the front room and 2 bedrooms.THEN I will be able to work on those rooms.
Also, bathroom lino was ripped up to reroute soil pipe for new bathroom (or something like that :o).So we ripped that up altogether, and need to buy replacement.Of course, with being away from the house, working full-time (OH),and school hours(me),time is limited.Hopefullt alot will get done next week, then we can move in :T.
Potted £28.52,most of the £30 I earned by doing an extra job over the weekend :j.

How come our DH's consider our treasures to be junk "surely you don't NEED all that?!" to be rubbish, but not the other way round, Saver-upper?!! ;)
I bet you thoroughly enjoyed ripping the lino up, it's so good to put new down, same with any other flooring. You'll soon have it all sorted out, then you can sit down and admire it all and know all the months of turmoil were soooo worth it.
At least you have room for your pot AND you've still be using it!!!! :j

oooooh lucky you, Chutney, keep your eyes peeled for more!

I'm enjoying reading your extension ramblings Saver-Upper. It reminds me of when DH and I were renovating our old cottage, with 2 small children in tow. It reminds me never to do anything like that again :rotfl: Seriously though, it'll all be worth it in the end. I absolutely love my house and the memories it holds for us all :A

You hit the nail firmly on the head with your last bit, siju, it all seems so b****y hard at the time, but the memories made whilst going through it all will always be cherished. :smileyhea Keep emptying out that purse....and filling the pot up! :T

A £5er in the pot just for the hell of it. :D

Get yourselves all ready to lap up a GLORIOUS WEEKEND, SPCers!!!Just don't forget the pots! ;)

    Confession time... :o

I broke open my pot as it was getting full-ish and have banked £134.15 :j and used it towards my car tax for this year, due to purchasing a new car at short notice. I'll add the figure into my signature later and, as £44 of that money was £2 coins for holiday savings, I'm treating the holiday as a debt and will pay the £44 into a holiday savings account ASAP. (Not sure if that made sense but it does to me :o)

My pot for next year is double the size of the usual pots so I shouldn't need to open it mid-2017 ;) For the time being I have a new pot decorated with the Pringles logo that was fed with 70p today and over £3 (forgot to count the coins but there were 3 £1 coins) yesterday :j

  • Hello!
Sorry, been awol again (hangs head in shame)
Have been potting away though. My brother is getting married next May and he lives in Canada - I'd love to go so I might save this year's pot until then! We'll see. Am dropping a grade and some hours at work next month so may not be possible. Hey ho.
    Hope everyone is thriving!
Off to read back now, have missed loads :(

    Evening folks :hello:

Potted my weekly £10 yesterday :j

Don't forget folks to put any amounts banked/spent from your pot on your siggie next to your SPC number, as it's easy to forget and it makes it easier when it comes to count-up day. It's all monies you've saved :D

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

A meagre 37p trickled into my sealed piggy last night. I thought I'd have more, but needed a few emergency supplies (ice lollies) for the workers yesterday. We don't have a freezer at the moment, so I have to buy frozen food as and when it is needed. A real pain!
