It appears quite a few potters are having a troublesome time at the moment. It's not always easy to stay positive when life gets difficult but, quite often, a virtual talk is a good way of helping. I really hope things improve soon xx
In potting news :- MY FIRST ROADKILL :T I found 20p on the pavement this morning while I was walking the dog. Then I found another, and some more. By the end of the road, I had a total of £1.47!!!!! All I hope is that it isn't some kiddies lunch money
Take care everyone :cool:SPC 19 - #0090 -

That happened to me when I parked up a few weeks ago in my usual car park. I presume someone must've flipped a load of change out of their pocket as they got into/out of their car

I don't seem to have had a £2 for ages. This weekend I acquired 4. I'm still on the lookout for my Shakespeare/Hamlet one, but I just looked and one of these has a tube train on it!! A few years ago I used to pull out all the 'specials' and keep them separate - will definitely be doing it with the Hamlet one if I get it, but this one will go in the tin with the rest. I've also got another £4.29 on my Quidco balance, so totals updated.

Morning potters.
Sorry haven't posted for a little while.
Humming bird welcome to the thead, yes you can use a 'virtual pot' have a read through the first post and when Sue comes along with a number pop it onto your sig so she can keep track of you. When the pots are opened in November just make sure you've kept a list of what was in your virtual pot so you can declare the amount. Happy potting.
I put £20 in my 1p a day challenge tub rounding up last weeks money. Then I put £15 in my seal pot, I'd got a petty cash claim back from work but as the money had been spent a couple of weeks ago and I hadn't really missed it I thought I'd put the money in my pot. I also found a £5 gift voucher when I tidied my dressing table so spent that on groceries and bunged a £5 in the pot as well.
They feel well fed this week.SPC~12 ot 124

Yes it was very much like that
Although at the end of the road, I stopped and looked around me to check no-one was watching! I felt like someone was going to come and tap me on the shoulder and say "Oi, that's mine!" There wasn't a soul around though :A
I have £2.05 to pot today :cool:SPC 19 - #0090 -
Hi there, all potters! I hope you all had a great weekend with the very good weather, and now have a looooovely week to look ahead to!!!!!!!
If you're working then enjoy the evenings as much as is possible!
Don't worry, jakes-mum, our DGD won't be having hers THAT quick, just as well at the rate I knit and crochet! Good potting btw.
Excellent work with that £10er potted, parksandrec!! Keep up the good work and you'll be wll rewarded come November.

Sue....It sounds like you have been going through the ringer
I hope that the Day regarding MS is helpful for you and that you learn lots and can find things that will help your DD....We're all here for you if you need to talk.... xXx
I'm so pleased you've found your way back to say hello, Helen, that's quite a busy life you've been leading...and with a cold too, little wonder you feel drained. Look after yourself.
I'm so sad you needed to take the notes out of your pot, but don't forget to include them in your declaration as you did have them saved for a long while. I know you're trying to get things financially straight so don't worry. :kisses3: It was a good day on Saturday thank you, read my reply to Lynne. For now - take care!!
Ah well, if you haven't been able to save, Westie, then at least you've had a break. Good luck with the saving now you're working again.hummingbird wrote: »Making a return to the forums after a long absence! I have realised that I don't find it very easy to save actual cash as I don't seem to use it that often! LOL. I seem to be doing better with saving into online accounts at the moment.
Am I right in thinking that we can add all our various savings from different challenges when it comes to counting up day?
I will read back a bit on the thread to see what everyone has been doing!
Hello again, hummingbird, and lovely to see you. Yes, you're quite right in thinking you can include different challenges on declaration day, so look forward to doing so. Meanwhile, we do have some members who draw money out each week/month from the bank specifically to pot; it might sound Irish but it works for them. Something to think about perhaps.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend trip to London, Dragon Lily, and at least you brought back cash to pot, things must be good.
Good to see you dropping in, Cherry, and it's really good to hear you're still squirrelling away. Keep up the good work, it's all so worth it.Great news !! So pleased for you that you're nearly there
Just wondering if it would be quicker and easier to 'dust' using a hoover - either an extension hose or one of those hand-held ones ?
Pleased you sorted the chicken-pox thingy Sue. Did you get loads of useful info from the MS meeting ?
Have potted my weekly £10 for last week
Lx
Nice work with the cash, Lynne, and I'm definitely with you re Saver-upper in that it's so much quicker and easier to 'dust' using a hoover, either using an extension hose or a hand-held, especially in the circumstances she's in. So much easier to polish afterwards! :grinheart
Yes, we did have a good day on Saturday thank you, Lynne, many very sad sights of severely disabled suffereres, but so much useful information about upcoming drugs, some will be iffy, but there's always a promise that if you can stand the side affects a drug might work. One lady Dr Anita Rose (a clinical Neurosychologist) talked about the cognitive and mood part of MS and was marvellous! We all could have listened to her all day and she gave our DD many tips of what to do at such times that the moods hit in. There was a marvellous lunch put on, many different choices too, and delicious desserts! It ran til just after 3pm and we came home with so much literature which....I will get through!
DD also has Gilbert's Disease (the liver) and that's really hit in at the moment.
Ooooh dear, you really are going through it at the moment, TheCatsandDogsMother!
It's good to know you've the money for your car though it doesn't seem to have been easily done. I really hope you can get through to your real estate about the bond and that things will ease up for you. {{{Hugs}}} to you, fingers crossed tightly too. :kisses3:
Fingers crossed for you in gaining more potting fodder too, Dizzy Imp!
Good Heavens above, siju, so much picked up and.....so quick!!!!!! Let's hope it wasn't a little one's money, but sadly there's not much you can do.
BTW, I completely agree that whatever problems (to a degree) a virtual talk is a good way of helping, it's done wonders for me for sure!!
Good for you, Chutney, another £2 to add with all the others! :j
All the best with the Shakespeare/Hamlet coins, MrsShazbat, when I count my coins out in November I shall be paying real attention to see if I've a tube one as well as Shakespeare/Hamlet one. BTW, I've just seen this "Married to a bladder cancer and sepsis survivor" on your siggy!!!!!! Absolutely amazing for him in having beaten both awful diseases, you too in being so fortunate to still have him!! :T:j
So you've managed a Peter Rabbit 50p then Westie????!!!!! I don't even think of looking at my cash, I'm just so chuffed to have it!! Thanks for keeping me on my toes girls! :T:T
Sounds like it's been a good week for you, mrs-moneypenny, keep it coming!
£10 potted after shopping, straight into the chicken!
Enjoy the rest of Tuesday, Potters.....and I wish you all a great Wednesday! Don't forget your pots get soooooo peckish!
