Not had much change spare this week :( but potted £3.52 found while decluttering (including one £2 coin, but I may discount this from the November total as its a commemorative coin) and another 17p found in a coat pocket -- better in the pot than in the washing machine imo ;)

Not posted on here for a while as life has just taken over. Still managing to pot regularly which is good not sure how much is in my pot but it's rather heavy :-) also managing to pay off my credit card due to budgeting and sticking to it which feels great hopefully will have credit card paid off by the summer and be debt free and I can't wait it feels good :-)

    Evening all :hello:

Another one whose life has taken over... Out three nights last week, then again over the weekend. Also had some news that a friend passed away on Friday night, so I've been taking stock of life. Just managed to pot again today some lovely silver coins.

Take care everyone and tell your loved ones that they ARE your loved ones.... xxx

Rather annoyingly, I just went and rescued from dh sporran what is left of the ticket money from Thursday night. Went and checked my book to find that I've not noted any weekly amounts down since the 25th March so I've no idea what's going on!
Never mind, £25 from there, £20 from my purse, a shiny £2, added to the money that I had sitting ready the other morning and my lovely 18 month old decided to pot for me. Problem is, he wasn't just putting it in my pot but also in DSDs pot too!
Counting £51 potted for the last two weeks, probably actually should be three weeks I'm splitting it up for though.

    THE EXTENSION IS FINALLY COMPLETED!!!:j:j
Well, almost: still need a toilet and shower installed, but we can move in before that is installed (still have original bathroom upstairs-this is a second toilet and shower in the extension).
Painting finished today, and it looks beautiful xxxxx.
Now starts the dusting and polishing of 6 month's worth of builders dust :eek:.I started in my eldest daughter's bedroom this morning. She has one of those IKEA expedia-like units, with the 16 cubby-holes and baskets in every second hole.It took me over 2 hours to remove baskets, dust "expedia" unit, plus assorted ornaments, bottles of perfumes.books, etc etc ,etc.THEN I dusted window-sill,skirting boards etc in that room.Gonna be a long job :o.
    This afternoon I potted 8x £2 coins.
Got to dash-runnig late for kid collection, but had to report in :D.
    Take care everyone xx

Hello there, all potters! I hope each one of you had a superb weekend, and now we've also got a looooovely week to look ahead to!!!!!!! :j If you're working then enjoy the evenings as much as is possible!

One of thoooose weeks then was it, 32b3, ah well, at least this one won't be so long work wise and you got Monday off!!! :D Great saving too!

Well done, Dragon Lily, keep potting away!

Glad to hear the funeral went as well as and was well attended Sue. Sorry to hear about your DD and hope she's soon rebounding a bit. Wouldn't her medical notes at the Dr include any childhood/teen infections such as chickenpox ??

Potted my weekly £10 today :j

    Lx

Why didn't DD & I think of that, Lynne?!!! :undecided Though more importantly....why didn't the Neurologist think of that one!! They did take a blood test which would show whether she had or not and the results should be back this week. Many thanks btw. :)

Sorry to hear your DH doesn't get bank holidays, though I guess getting days in lieu means you can add them onto a holiday or at least have them when it suits you both. Nice work with the £10 potted!
Hugs sue, glad funeral went as well as it could and was well attended.
Is there a blood test you can have to see if you've had chicken pox?

Thank you mrs-moneypenny, and as I've said above to Lynne, yes, they are able to test the blood to tell and the results will tell us this week sometime, though why they couldn't have rung DD's Dr is beyond me! Ah well. Nice savings! ;)

Hello there, skilly! Good to see you and know you're potting SO well, as if you wouldn't be!

Where have I been?? I can see you all missed me desperately :D

DS is about to take his GCSE science's in 3 weeks  and is nowhere near prepared so i've spent the last 2 weeks making him tests, explaining what he doesnt understand etc. I've had to completely relearn all my GCSE science these last 2 weeks, but fear not, I now know that a food cycle can only hold 5 levels and what a Heterotroph is! Things that will no doubt stand me in good stead in my twilight years :rotfl:

Finally bought DD her first phone on friday, she has spent most of the weekend texting me where she is and various random questions as she's quite impressed with this new toy *rolls eyes* Still it means I can now allow her to roam out of our street and at £5 a month for 150 mins, 5000 texts and some data (plus the free phone!) I thought that was a bit of a bargain :D

Right I am currently crocheting a ripple blanket whilst cooking dinner so I will have to love you and leave you all, and try not to be a stranger for so long next time!

We missed you, jakes-mum??! Darned sure we did, it hasn't been THAT quiet on here since....the last time you were awol!! :rotfl: Seriously, we always miss folk when life keeps them busily entertained elsewhere. It's good to see you home again. :D

It sounds as though there's not a lot of difference between your DS and mine when he was younger; he always says that if it wasn't for me he would have failed!! I wish him every success with his exams and I hope he sails through them all!

Imagine your DD with a phone of her own?!! After all these years it doesn't seem possible, but it sounds as though you will at least be getting some peace of mind! :A

Do please let us have a gander at that ripple blanket when you've finished. I so want to do one but can't seem to get the time. :( Very well saved, you're doing so well!

So long as you're saving one way or another, Kim_13, then you're doing really well! Just maintain that work and the momentum!

So long as you're quiet and potting, getting-there-slowly, it must be a good job you're doing! ;) Keep it going that way.

Brilliant potting, Lost!!!!! Don't ever stop! :j

Don't put your savings down, Selene, after all if you were to save £3.52 each week you'd be doing amazingly!!! Fact is though...what ever you can save is money that isn't wasted and will be so helpful come Christmas! Be happy with it!!

All in all it sounds as though you're doing yourself proud, tizzi13!! :D If you can save AND pay some off your CC regularly then - you're doing so well!!!! :T Stay proud and happy!

My very sincere condolences to you, Vicky, little wonder you're taking stock of life. We can't help but do so at such times. :( Your last line sums life up beautifully as that's what we should all be doing on a daily basis. :)

It seems as though you're teaching your little treasure some great habits, MrsC....tobe, and potting is the best - whether you wanted him to or not!!! :rotfl: Not to worry, at least you'll have a lovely surprise! So, your DH has a sporran eh? Keep checking it well!! ;)

Yes, you must try harder, siju! You're welcome to the star, you deserved it. :D

SPLENDID NEWS Saver-upper!!!!!!!! I am so delighted for you, truly!!!!

£10.78p in the pot post shopping. I wish it had been more, but we can't do what's not possible. :grinheart

Have lovely week and particularly Tuesday, Potters! Keep giving those pots feasts......or tiddly bits! ;)

    Sue xx
