Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Lovely bit of winter sunshine today, although the wind is a little icy brrrr! Love winter days like these :). Even spotted a few Snowdrops in the local park.

Afternoon all Persistent Potters! I hope you had a good week and are now revelling in the weekend. A lovely day here so far, though it wi***ed down in the night. Have a good Saturday all. To all those of you who are poorly or perhaps a little low for whatever reason, I hope you soon feel so very much better. Here are some {{{hugs}}} to help you through. :grinheart
Just put £14.02 in my 1p challenge pot (I'm doing it weekly and mixing high and low amounts.)
94p went in the spc pot.

ooooh what a loverly lot of cash out of harms way, mrs-moneypenny! You've put a lot of practice into this I reckon! ;)

    Wooohaaay MrsShazbat, great work!! :D

You too getting into practice, lexbubbles, keep your eye in and who knows what your next roadkill might be!!

Last year was a difficult year family wise and the start of this year no better, what's that saying, "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger" well I must have the strength of Wonder Woman lol! (showing my age there)

I should think you are showing your age, mummytummy, I wouldn't have a clue who Wonder Woman was! ;) All the best with 2016 from here on, I truly hope things look up for you. Positivity is key so always try to keep it at the forefront. :D

Just a lonely £1 is a healthy beginning, ETO, onward and upward from here! I don't blame you for wanting to extend your maternity leave, make the most of her while you're able. :A A very wise way of viewing the MOT and the car's importance. ;)

Oh my giddy aunt gert, TheCatsandDogsMother, whatever next is your pup going to get in to - nothing I hope! Glad to hear he's recovering.

You jammy devil, muppets! You barely need to save when you've got their regular income!!! :rotfl:

Thank Heaven your DS is ok after his prang, cattysmum, what a blessing. A real shame about the car, but better that than him! ;) Good to see you, and don't forget - we miss you.

Quick update, just put £40 in my SP (I put £30 a month in every month) plus another tenner because I was feeling flush and 11p from my purse.

oooooh, by golly, that's a great sum, Nicki_Sue, keep hard at it!! :j

You need to ASK, MrsC....tobe??!
Always plump for B = "Pot it and hope he doesn't notice" every time. ;) Then if he asks "I was looking after it for you so no one whipped it my love!" :rotfl:

That's it, 32b3, 2 lots potted - I expect nothing different from you.

That's just fantastic, Tizzi!!!!! Makes a manic week woth the while, well almost.

A brilliant find, 12 month challenge!! :T Looks like your dog was leading you to it! ;) Thanks for the giggle I got in your latest post, I could just picture you clutching you prize til you potted it!!!!! :rotfl:

Ah..there you are, Lynne! Another lovely £10er safely potted, good work. Stay dry over the weekend cause it'll be tipping it down up there for sure! :(
just dropping in to say that I have concluded that this is the friendliest thread of all :) a thought that just came to me after doing some browsing these last few days.

anyhoo.. £1 in the pot today.. i'm only putting £1, £2 and 50p's in my pot.. i have another little money box where I put 20's, 10's and 5ps. I decided to open that money box today and took the change to the bank to be cashed in as I was passing, it was a nice £20.. I would never of thought it! the money box is only small.. but instead of using it I made sure it went in the savings :) although separate from the pot it made me realise that the little coins do add up quickly too!

I'm sure we all agree with your thoughts, themstarrynights! :rotfl: Truly though, many people have been saying that for some years and it's great to both hear and know. :D Looking at the rest of your post, sounds as though you're doing marvellously. ;) Just stick with it now...as I know you will.

WOW Lost, £71 for the month is ammmaaaaaziing!!!!!!! Lovely to see you. :D

If I wasn't so keen on saving the £2s myself, jakes-mum, I'd be inclined to think "your poor DH" to hear you talk, but as I've come to know ou so well over the years, the wording is definitely well-trained!!! :rotfl: Is it a lead or eastic you keep him on! ;)

Thank Heaven for cleaning eh, Val!!!! :rotfl: It'll be so good to hear what you end up with after counting up tomorrow!!!!!! :j:j:j

Good for you, Dragon Lily, and well done your DH. We've got Snowdrops down here too, not many but very visible. Chilly but yes, we too have some sun...so much better than rain.

Had a GREAT day yesterday with DD & her eldest DD helping me sort some of my wedding clothes out (only 6 weeks to go now !!!) then we went to the venue some miles away and had another fitting of THE DRESS again! Tears for the second time but oh what a picture she is in it!!!! :j In three weeks DH & I will be taking her up for the final fitting, then 3 more weeks to THE DAY!!! Sooooo excited!

Have a BRILLIANT WEEKEND, Potters. :grinheart...just don't forget those pots LOVE to tinkle!! ;)

  • Hello everyone...I haven't posted in a bit as funds were nonexistent so was using all my coins to get by until payday.

Potted £6.55 last night after food shopping, and £50 that I earned from my side cleaning job. Great way to end January!

    Have a great day all.
    Whatever it takes.
