  • So the puppy managed to break into the garage and eat some motor oil, I didn't realise until he started leaving green streaks all over the floor. Rushed him straight to the vet and he had a shot and given some tablets (and left green streaks all over their floors), now I'm on puppy watch to make sure he doesn't get ill. Also talked about his back legs as he walks oddly, told he may have issues with his knees, will need x-rays to be sure and then possibly surgery to fix it. $104 for the consultation and medicine and will be $600 for the x-rays and more for the surgery thinking I should start a "puppy funds pot" :)
I did however pot the $1 I got in change :)

Good afternoon, uv not posted since opening my pot in November but I am still managing to get some potting done. January has been a frugal month as I have been helping out DS as he had a car accident, he is fine thank goodness but his vehicle was a write off and his insurance money hasn't come through yet so we have helped him out financially towards another car. I've had lots of birthdays in January as well so all in all not a lot of spare cash. But starting February with renewed vigour and determination!!

    Hi all!
Quick update, just put £40 in my SP (I put £30 a month in every month) plus another tenner because I was feeling flush and 11p from my purse.

Ooooooo, DH just left the room leaving £3.85 on the sofa that fell out of his pocket. Do I:

    A. Leave it for him
    B. Pot it and hope he doesn't notice
    C. Leave some as he's no idea what's there?!

Just done the Friday night tot up from the purse, and from hubby's money on the sofa.....I went for B but it's rounded down to £3 for that as the smaller stuff goes jointly!!! He asked what j was doing and just told him I was doing the potting.

It's only 5 days worth of penny savings as I potted on Sunday but I'm adding £18. Should be £17.80 but as the wee stuff is separate I'll round it up and knock another day off since we finish earlier than the 20p challenge should at the end of the year. I aim to have it done by the day we open :)

    C. Leave the 85p and pot the £3, Play silly (it usually works for me) :D A little honesty is better than none surely :rotfl:
