A very good evening to you all, Potters. I hope it's a relaxing one after not too bad a day. Take care all and keep safe and healthy! {{{Hugs}}} to all those not feeling well or who need them in any other way.c.w.2015 wrote:I have now hidden my pot from him Sue -UU
I walked in to him using a knife/tipping the pot
Well done, c.w.2015! Keep it under lock and key, anything, rather than him denying you of your treasure in November!
Brilliant Ruthie! Overpaying really can't be a bad thing so good for you.I have decided to be slightly unconventional and count my pot money as I go, opening a passbook account to pay in full bags of change.
A family member needed change for £5 (so I had to swap) and the note is just too tempting to spend/put in my 3% current account otherwise.
That's entirely up to you, Kim, you're not alone, Lynsey does it every year as she likes to be assured of what she's getting. Whatever keeps YOU happy!
Hello at last, Helen! I wondered where you'd got to, then remembered I'd told you to have a break. I hope you're feeling bery much better as a result. The words in your first paragraph are perfect when describing us all on SPC! :kisses::kisses::kisses:
Not to worry, mrs-moneypenny, when you're able to - you pot, when you're not - you don't, simple eh!DD2, her Hubby and DGS have gone home, we think we've gone deaf!!
To be truthful though we haven't heard him much during the night, only on one of my many trips to the loo (the joys of Intersticial Cystitis) mummy is well and baby is thriving, he's now just under 8lbs. x
Good to see you, Lucy! I bet you miss them all, those cuddles too! :A Poor you with that awful ailment (I suppose you'd call it) I've only heard of it once before as a friend has it, the ordinary is bad enough and at least you get breaks from that, not so in your condition. Take good care of yourself!! :kisses3: It's so good to hear Mum & little treasure are both doing so well.I've decided that alongside my pot, I'm going to transfer the odd pennies in my bank account across to my mortgage when I log on to check my internet banking (normally a couple of times a week). I already try and over pay at least the interest each month on top of my monthly payment, and I know these extra pennies will likely add up to about £20 maximum, but every little helps!
You do whatever makes you happy, abbe89, as I said to someone earlier, overpayment HAS to be good!!!
Oh dear Louise, it's such a catch 22 situation when kiddies go back to school. I used to hate it when that awful quiet descended, BUT on the upside, as you say, it was good to pour myself into cleaning up all the dust, dirt etc that I tried to ignore while they were home. Treasure both while he's still school age as it flies by so quickly!!
Ah, there you are, Hicksy! No, it's never to late to wish folk greetings, so, a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you! You and your little lad are doing brilliantly with saving, keep it going!!!! :j
It sounds as though you well deserved that reak, tatabubbly, well done on the Euro too!
Good luck with your Terramundi, TheCatsandDogsMother, though you never know...stick to coins and you might see it full come November!!TheDapster wrote: »Hi everyone :hello:

Jakes-mum thanks for the heads-up about Quidco up thread - I needed a new mattress, went to Dreams and found a nice one - mentioned that Quidco are offering 8% cashback so they matched that! £40 off! :T
I've spent some of last year's pot money - I've booked to see David Tennant (swoon) on Saturday at the Barbican in London - I'm so excited I'm not concentrating at work at all - gawd knows what I'll be like when I get there and see him for real :eek: Poor bloke :rotfl:

We haven't had a word of the day this year yet Sue, my [STRIKE]partners in crime[/STRIKE] very professional colleagues are having family problems, one of them isn't in work, and the other is sitting in a quiet room incase he needs to make urgent phone calls so I am - in effect - home aloneIt no fun dropping random words into conversation when I am talking to myself

£9.60 potted today - that terramundi is getting heavy and it's barely the new year0

Decided today that I will keep putting change in the bottle but as a year won't fill it, and it'll be a touch much to start adding it up as I go along, I will still do it but only really keep tabs on my £2/sealed tin. With that in mind, £5 went into it today. M&S nicely gave me £4 in £2s last night and I had a £1 in my pocket from work which I forgot to put in my purse.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)
