Welcome pink whisk to the SPC challengeyou are most welcome to join us, Sue our boss lady will b along at some point to allocate you a nice shiny number to pop on your signature, she will also ask you to read the all important first post on the first page that tells you things like what can be included in the challenge, holding pot info and the all important opening date! If I remember correctly (as its been sooooo long since I read it . . . umm I mean even though I read it thoroughly every few weeks to refresh my memory . . . ) it also tells you how to update your signature (as i'm not sure if it works the same way on the new forum style that new members see, as I still see it the old way), feel free to post all about your potting accomplishments and especially if you manage to fleece your significant other of his loose change and keep an eye out for roadkill! our favourite kind of money
Well DH has just come home from his uncles with another bag full of shrapnel for me to bag up and change for him, I had £9 in my purse in notes and coins, so felt it was only right to remove all the 5p's and 10p's for my pot, plus the little bit of odds and s*ds I had in my purseTin is getting veeeeeeeeeery heavy :j :j

I've just potted the princely ??? sum of 43p. After 4 no spend days I was really looking forward to emptying purse of lots of change and thanks to spending mostly in pound shops I only had 43p change from weekly TV paper.
Going into town again on Friday so might have more then xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Hi,
I've just got my pot! I'm so excited to do this, sorry I'm late to the party! I want to save to have an emergency fund! Xx

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Pinkwhisk - Please note your No is 108.The previous owner probably sold herself on ebay! :rotfl: However, if she decides to come on home then she's welcome to re-join and be given a new No. BTW. You're welcome to add any other MSE challenge totals to your SPC one in November. Save well!
A shiny gold star to you, jakes-mum, for a superb welcome, thanks so much for your help. :staradmin
A very good evening to you all, Potters. I hope you have a relaxing one after another busy day. Take care all and keep very safe and healthy! {{{Hugs}}} to all those not feeling well or who need them in any other way.:D
Well done, Chutney...
...you too, 12 month challenge, good on your bank for being so kind!! :jMrs_Cheshire wrote: »Hi Sue and everyone else and a Happy New year to you all. I'd like to join again this year, didn't manage to save much at all last year.
I'd like to save for Christmas this year as I had another son in October so have 3 boys to buy for now.
Thank you, Mrs Cheshire, and a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you also, congratulations too on the birth of your 3rd Son!!!! :A There's never any need to re-join as I just bring the lot of you over with me when I start the new year. What a thought...dragging more than 500 of you around with me!!!!!
Ah..now there's a point, 32b3, though I can think of at least ONE or two here that possibly do that all day long!!!!!! :rotfl: Any guesses? No, forget that bit or she'll bite my head off!!!!!!sunshine81 wrote: ȣ9.60 potted today - that terramundi is getting heavy and it's barely the new year
Brilliant potting, sunshine, keep up like that and you'll be having multiples of pots around!!!! :rotfl:
You save in exactly the way that suits you, MrsShazbat. How kind of M&S!!
Well done on the spotting and potting, muppets!!£3.60 potted for me today and managed to pick my son up earlier from after school club saving £4 :-)
Bloomin brilliance, Tizzi, THAT'S the way to do your best with saving, marvellous!!!!! :jstepuptothepl8 wrote: »£1.20 in shrapnel potted today, and £2 coin yesterday. I'm training my DD in the art of potting; she was amazed at my total last year, and is really motivated to beat it this year, so any change from her lunch money goes into the pot
Hope everyone is ok?
What a girl and what a Mum, stepuptothepl8!! It's always wonderful to hear of youngsters wanting to save..even more so when they're savig with and/or for Mum!!!! :j
Ok, Kim_13, your £100 challenge is alongside your No, so all the best with fulfilling it..or more!!!I did put £2.90 in last night as past of my other MSN challenge. Thankfully I do have my holding jar as my daughter has managed to lose her bus pass so had to shell out change for bus fares. Ah!
Excellent work, ValM!!! It's always great to have change at hand and then pot it in our savings pots IF we don't need to spend it! You're a great example to others...a gold star can now sit nicely on your siggie for you having been so good. :staradmin
A wonderful idea, carbootcrazy!! At least you're assuring yourself of more tha way!!!!! :j However, it's what your savings means to YOU that counts, don't forget that.TheCatsandDogsMother wrote: »I'm not sure if I should put notes in mine or change them into coins. I'm still getting use to the size of the thing! Although it's sooo pretty
I'd try for the latter and change them, TheCatsandDogsMother, as like as not, you'd need to break your pot come November or notes would be a real pest to get out. Such a shame to need to break your beautiful pot!!
oooh, I'd love to see what your pot's like, Ruth, sounds like a ruddy cement mixer with you saying you've only covered the bottom of it so far!! Well done your OH!themstarrynights wrote: »I've got the saving bug this time.. i'm definitely here to stay.. will be more active on here so thanks for the welcomenow i'll go and find my new number if it's been mentioned already :P
Great to read, themstarrynights, we'll be making sure you do!Not sure if you got my reply to your PM, but the No you have on your siggie is the right one just for you!
Happy saving! BTW. A gold star is yours for your excellent explanation to Mumof2 about when to save. :staradmin
Good to see you back, lexbubbles, especially knowing all the cash you've saved!!! :dance:sarahm0rris wrote:Hi pottersthink I've potted around £60 already! I'm so shocked! I've been putting spare £1, £2 and 50p's!! Wahoo
WOW..that's just splendid, sarahm0rris!!!!! :j I see you're a dedicated potter - VERY well done!!
A great day's potting, Modesty, don't lets stand in your way!
Ah..please don't be disappointed, plumduff55, Rome wasn't built in a day and your pot has quite a few months to have cash trickled into it. Be patient and be very proud your saving - THAT'S what matters!! :grinheartEnjoy a relaxing evening, Potters, and a lovely Thursday, but do take GREAT CARE of any flooding! ....of the pots too!!
