I'll be with you in a short while, abbe89, you too, amurphy. For now I'm just sorting out numbers for you both and replying to everyone.

Of course you can f0xh0les! We love new people here! Get thee a tin, either homemade or shop bought and chuck any spare change you have that might otherwise be frittered away on chocolate, fizzy drinks and cheeky starbucks coffees straight in there
If you want to set a target just let our very own sargeant major Sue know and she'll pop it on the first page next to your number
good news potters, mum didn't want my storage boxand I seem to have many less decorations than I thought so will actually have 2! spare boxes . . . . ohhhh, what will I fill them with  I obviously need to buy many more craft supplies to go in there as t would be a terrible shame to leave them desolate and lonely in the cupboard

carbootcrazy wrote: »Well, I'm absolutely gobsmacked by how much some of you are managing to pot at regular intervals, especially as it's such an eye-wateringly expensive time of the year:eek:. Brilliant:A
Is anyone else old enough to remember the days when we were excited to find a brand new shiny penny (the big 'old' pre-decimal penny) in our Christmas stocking? In case anyone thinks I had a deprived childhood:eek:, we had a pillowcase full of stuff but there was always a penny and a tangerine at the bottom:rotfl:
The amount saved by members varies so much, carbootcrazy, it depends on so many things such as wages, mortgages, children, some being pensioners etc to name but a few. Admire what folk are able to save by all means, but never feel bad about it as we're all [STRIKE]oddballs[/STRIKE] individuals. BTW. I never had a pre-decimal penny, but I did used to get a bag of golden wrapped chocolate coins if that's any help.
Don't worry about not going out very often to be able to save, NannyG, I usually only go once a week if that helps you in not feeling the only one!
Your £ coins as well as your Lira all sounds pretty good to me, Frogletina, keep on saving both!
Ah well, 32b3, at least you made the best of your last day. All the best with tomorrow and at least you've only a few days of this week!
Well done, Ruthie, just don't forget that you've put the note in your secret place! :rotfl:
I thought I'd be right, Westie, and my memory never usually fails me...or is that the other way round? I've forgotten! :undecidedGrandpa sits with him on his arm telling him all about the family in pics on the walls and has introduced him to football. Wonder how long it will be before he gets his first football kit.
DD2 is doing well, and coping well, heparin injections she's finding hard but her DH is a dab hand at doing them. DGD 1&2 are thrilled with him but I think DD1 is afraid she'll break him and won't hold him yet, had to bribe her with a selection box so we could have a first photo of the three of them!
You ALL have a safe, healthy and Happy New Year also, Lucy! Your DH sounds just as my DH did with our DGC, it's amazing where they think these dear little mites will keep all the information stored!! What a shame your DD1 is so wary of holding your little darling, hopefully it'll soon turn around and she'll be ok. All the best with your DD and the heparin injections, a little like my DD, but with her MS ones, though with her DH it's the other way round and she's far better off doing them herself!!
Excellent cleaning and potting, boobiebonboo!! :rotfl: Perhaps you need to clean more often!
I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma, Dizzy Imp, Westie has it right though as I bet you'll have no end of memories of her and she will indeed be watching over you, bless her. :grinheartjakes-mum wrote:You are soooooo stuck with me my Sue, I mean . . . where would I go? :rotfl: and how would you cope without me!?. Tbh, I read enough of the marriages board to know not everyone has people to tell them how important they are, and who knows, some of our new (or old) potters may not have had the best Christmas this year and just not want to tell us so I thought I'd just let each and every one of them know that they make a difference to my life and they are all very special to me
To the first bit, jakes-mum, surely it's more a case of... who would have you and how would they cope WITH you!!!! :rotfl: You know I'm only joking and truly would be lost without you! I quite agree with the latter part of your paragraph, and I'm sure we each make a huge difference to each other! You put it beautifully, and are definitely all :heartpuls!
Very well done, VAL , though it took me a while to work out that MRM stood for Mr M!! :rotfl: Look out girls, sounds as though we have another jakes-mum here!
Lovely to see you, theresamum, I hope you had a lovely Christmas too. Have a safe, healthy and Happy New Year!
Very well done, Hicksy, and brilliant work in potting half of your Dad's gift in your little treasure's pot. He's 9 months old already!!!! Not long before he's a year then! :A
£8.50 after the weeks shopping today!Have a restful evening, Potters! As always....keep filling those pots!
