40p just moved over to my online sealed pot. And £10 going into a secret compartment in my purse, just in case, and hopefully they'll be something left after New Years which I can pot. Definitely think the kids have got hold of the pennies, no sign of them!SPC -500

It sounds as though you go to work just to save, Westie, surely that can't be so!!!! :rotfl: Keep it up!
haha I suppose that can be classed as half truth, working in a bank, I have the access, and the motivation to save some pennies, does make getting my hand on coins a lot easier, and swopping those pesky 5p :-)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. DD2 was allowed home with baby on Christmas Day just in time for lunch, I'd forgotten how much space a baby takes up! Not 8lbs of baby and we couldn't move on Boxing Day, there was a small square on the carpet, so many presents and baby stuff!!
Getting organised now though. No potting, no time even to think about it, I'll get back in the swing of things when they go home. He's a little sweetheart and melting my heart already.
Grandpa sits with him on his arm telling him all about the family in pics on the walls and has introduced him to football. Wonder how long it will be before he gets his first football kit.
DD2 is doing well, and coping well, heparin injections she's finding hard but her DH is a dab hand at doing them. DGD 1&2 are thrilled with him but I think DD1 is afraid she'll break him and won't hold him yet, had to bribe her with a selection box so we could have a first photo of the three of them!
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year if I don't get chance to post again before then xSealed Pot Challenge member 28

Lol - not me, I'm a decimal baby, but I do remember getting a satsuma and a bag of golden chocolate coins each year, which was great.
Having a pants time ATM as my Grandma died on 27th but keeping the old chin up and soldiering on. Some shrapnel potted this morning - didn't count it, but there were some silver ones in the mix.0 -
I'm pleased you've done well with your Dunelm boxes, jakes-mum, me too with great savings on curtains from them too!!! :j <<"Have a fantabulous bank holiday monday evening my beautiful friends, your all gorgeous and special and just . . umm . . . like chocolate covered toffees">>
I take it by your words above that...you're stuck to us - OR - that we're stuck with you!!!!! :rotfl: Either way..it's just wonderful sticky buddy!!! :kisses3:
Ooooo I did have a look at the curtains and duvet sets as well but as we haven't got any wallpaper yet I couldn't decide what colour I needed :rotfl: got to ask me mum if she wants one of my boxes for her decs as I'll now have 4 (secretly hoping she says no so I can keep one for my craft stuff)
You are soooooo stuck with me my Sue, I mean . . . where would I go? :rotfl: and how would you cope without me!?. Tbh, I read enough of the marriages board to know not everyone has people to tell them how important they are, and who knows, some of our new (or old) potters may not have had the best Christmas this year and just not want to tell us so I thought I'd just let each and every one of them know that they make a difference to my life and they are all very special to me

Not old enough for the old penny, but we did get an apple and tangerine in the stocking every year which always found their way back to the fruit bowl Christmas morning as neither me or my siblings liked them :rotfl:
DH and I did wrap up £1 coins as tightly as we could one Christmas and put them in our niece and nephew's stockings :rotfl:, nephew soooo busted us though, he knew his uncles sense of humour way too well!
It was £1.50 into the pot last night as I forgot to come back and tell you as I got caught up watching 'the Martian', I'll be honest, I wasn't really interested in watching it, despite being a huge Matt Damon fan, but my god! Was it funny! I kid you not, my dad turned up at the hospital the morning after I had DS with a full Man United kit bought from Old Trafford with his surname and Beckhams number on the back! :rotfl: he then had to wait 9 months for DS to fit it as the smallest size they did was 12-18 months, DS is now a teen and he STILL has the picture up in his kitchen of the first day he wore it :rotfl:Having a pants time ATM as my Grandma died on 27th but keeping the old chin up and soldiering on. OK I have made my sealed pot from an empty Pringles tube. Have made a hole in the lid. Have been through MRM's spare change bowl from which he has donated all one penny, two penny and five penny pieces which has totalled £5.76! I have also finished a full sized product for my other MSE challenge so another £1 will go in today.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
