    Today I had

Breakfast: hexb bran flakes, 100ml hexa milk (yes, I measured it, out of curiosity), a banana and an apple
Lunch: chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, syboes, green pepper, cucumber, an orange
Snack: WW coconut slice (4 syns)
Dinner: bacon, egg, SW chips, beetroot, ski strawberry mousse (4 ½ syns)
Snack: 2 ginger nuts (4 syns) and rest of hexa 1 mini babybel light

    Good luck for tomorrow.

Just had to look up syboes - had no idea it's a Scots word for spring onions! You learn something new every day!

BEG - good to hear that the medics are pleased with your mum's progress. Hope she's home soon.

Yesterday ended up an EE day after all, as decided to have sausages and they would have been 4 syns each on a Green day:eek: Just easier to change it to an EE day and not have a supper of crackers & cheese (2nd HEA/HEB).

    Definitely an EE day today:

    B - melon - after WI
L - LO veg soup, bread (HEB)
D - Lamb tagine, couscous - a few syns but need to work out how many but shouldn't be more than 5.

HEA - milk in tea as usual
    HEB - bread

    Syns - 5?

Trousers are definitely feeling a bit tight this morning so not holding out much hope of a loss.

Talking of Pringles a little girl passed me at the other week in the car park and dropped her tube of Pringles and they rolled under my car. She asked to crawl under the car to get them and I remember thinking I wonder is she going home to eat all of those herself.

Gym done last night. Going for 4 sessions a week. 2 out of the 4 complete.

Well done losers, glad your Mum is doing ok BEG.

Miss Independent sounds like you did well there. Sometimes when you stop yourself and think about it does help.

I'm avoiding all of the Christmas Crisps & Chocs so I can have a Cheese, Pate & Wine night :D instead nearer the time.

There will be tubs of Roses and Quality Street sitting around work from here on in and I think I'll go with the approach I've had the last 2 years which is not to have even one. One just leads to another for me and then I feel rubbish and annoyed with myself.

Christmas Day is free reign and whatever I want I have. Thankfully my Mum does the Christmas Dinner so I can go home after and leave it all with her :rotfl:

    Morning :)

It's cloudy and cooler this morning so I'm going to take the opportunity to tackle a pile of ironing - I've been putting it off but I'm about to run out of trousers! I keep looking at the size of the pile and wondering how we've managed to use so many clothes when we've only been here 9 days, but we brought some of it with us! :rotfl:

Beg - pleased to hear your Mum is on the mend and it's also good to hear positive views of the NHS. It must make up a little bit for the long wait she had.

Lantanna - sounds like you've got the ideal plan for Christmas, have what you want on the day and walk away. I always found I'd buy loads of things 'just in case' when we had family round for Christmas, then there'd be things like cake, mince pies, puddings etc left over that I couldn't bear to throw away.

Well done JPS, Elona and everyone who has lost this week. :T

I've got a piece of pork loin for tonight's dinner and I'm going to do it in the slow cooker on a layer of vegetables. It's a bit experimental so I'll report back on whether it works.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Congratulations B17c, JPS, Elona and anyone else who has losses that I might have missed.

Thankyou Lantanna and Maman - it did help having a plan. I also did what I said and bought a face mask and nail varnish from the pound shop as a little non food treat.

Beg you are doing well to stick to plan with all the stress you must be feeling. Great to hear your mum is making a recovery too.

Woke up starving this morning...so had a bacon butty - because I CAN! It was lovely and felt really naughty even though it was all allowed on SW. I had sugar in my tea for the first time since starting SW and it seemed far too sweet!

    Today is looking like this;

Breakfast: Schar GF Bread (HeB), Lurpak lighter (1.5), Tea with milk (HeA) and 1 sugar (1 syn), 1 tsp GF Brown Sauce (0.5).

Lunch: HM SF Vegetable and Lentil Soup. Fruit and a Mullerlight.

Dinner: 4 Heck Zesty Chicken Sausages (2 syns), Bubble and Squeak "cakes" (potato, sprouts, cauliflower, swede mixed with an egg yolk and fried in frylight). Fruit for afters.

5 syns in total so leaves up to 10 for a treat later. Possibly an options and the other half of my Twirl before bed (8 syns in total).

    :T that's a fantastic loss B17c.
Sorry if I've asked before but how much are you hoping to lose in total? And please keep sharing your menus, they must be magic.:D

I made a guess as my nana used to call them 'shibbons' but that was South Wales so a regional variation.

I'll join you. I'd enjoy that much more than a quick chocolate fix. It's strange that even though I've come to enjoy a small piece of 70% with a cuppa when I settle down for the evening and my football half Crunchie I don't crave sweets at all.

I'm planning a packet of ready salted with my cold turkey sandwich on Christmas night. Anything left over when the family have been I can feed to DH. Better than having a dog.:rotfl:(although tweets probably won't agree;)).

I do this recipe regularly lois

but I've never tried it in the SC, so it'll be good to hear how you get on.

I didn't get to WI this morning, wish I had because I'm feeling quite slim. I'm busy next Thursday so may try and fit in a 'weigh and go' somewhere. The good thing about living in a city is that there are groups everywhere almost every day of the week.

    EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 boiled eggs
    L: frittata
D: SW Spaghetti Bolognese, HEA Parmesan plus milk for drinks
Syns: chocolate (3 or 4 syns)

A bit OTT on eggs today but I have salad bits in the fridge (shibbons;), peppers, mushrooms) that I want to use up. I'll add potato to give it substance and only use a couple of eggs. generally turns out more of a hash but tastes good.:)

Not a good WI for me this morning - thought I'd been fairly good this week and wasn't expecting a loss but it was far worse than I thought it'd be - +3lb! The only time I've put that amount on in one go before is when I've been on holiday in France for 3 weeks.

Consultant wants me to do a food diary and hand it in next Thursday - it's a good job she knows I use most of my syns at the weekend, LOL!
Have started well today - not sure if I've already posted my plan for today but just in case I didn't:

    B - after WI - melon
L - HM mixed veg soup followed by ham, lettuce, cucumber, beetroot, cornichons, pickled onions. Used balsamic vinegar as a dressing. Also had a Thin (HEB). Followed by a few raspberries & a satsuma
    D - Lamb tagine, couscous

Have bought some 1% milk to try as been told it's similar to semi-skimmed and not like skimmed. Hope that's true as have bought 2 x 4 pints for the week (DH has quite a lot of milk as he has cereal most mornings - think he must have nearly 1/2 pt of milk on it!)

Syns planned so far are dried apricots, sultananas & flaked almonds in the tagine which I've worked out to 4 syns per portion.

Oh dear, that's quite a shock_pale_. I certainly didn't see that coming. I can't see that you'll find anything out from a food diary but it's nice of the consultant to offer. Probably just a blip, it can happen. Hopefully it will disappear ASAP.

Let us know how you get on with the 1%, I think have bought it before (isn't it the purple top one?) but I don't think they have it in Aldi. It'd definitely be worth it for an extra 50 ml or more likely to be able to spare some cheese on pasta or a cottage pie and still be in one HEA.

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, was on the go but stuck to plan.

I've been doing mostly SP days still, but I'm taking the advice of the book of adding in a free yoghurt or extra HEA choice for calcium, at least on the days I don't have any Quark. Which is today, since yet again my local store is sold out. I've never seen anything in the space where it should be, I think whoever buys it must take the packing tray and all. :rotfl:

Breakfast - Spinach omelette, green tea
Lunch - SP fish cakes, avocado toast and tomatoes (3.5 syns + HEB1)
Dinner - Leftover lamb stew, swede and carrot mash
Snacks - Yoghurt, apple and cheese (HEA)

HEB2 will be pudding. Haven't decided what yet, think it might be Weetabix. Have been craving them but not for breakfast!

I've been finding that I've really gone off chocolate this week. Hence adding in the avocado, as I'm struggling to reach syns without that. Except for my PMS day, that was a full 15 syns of chocolate! :o
