Well done on the shiney B17c:T
Looking at your menu, I think it may be that in a strange way your IBS is working in your favour. Until you mentioned occasional potato salad your menu looks very close to EESP. It's not exactly as you're having Mullers but it's doing the trick so go for it!!
I almost had a wobble tonight and gave in to wine syns with DH but stayed strong. Friday tomorrow!:j
A loss in the right direction beanie. Well done to you!:T0 -
Catching up and checking in with my weekly weigh-in...
2lb gone this week
A significant one for me as that's 4 ½ stone so far (since I started in January) :j
According to the app on my phone I've got another 12lb to go.
As I've been going it alone, only you wonderful people on here (and my OH) know this.
Happy Friday everyone.0 -
Well done to all the lovely losers :T
Read in our local newspaper yesterday that another elderly blind lady had to wait over 3hrs for ambulance to arrive after suffering a fall. Turns out she has suffered a broken hip too. What is happening in this bl00dy country
Anyway ... thank you so much for all your lovely comment for Mum. She is so desperate to get back into her own home. Hospital which she could be transferred to is only 4 miles away but unfortunately they are so busy and no spare beds atm. Depending on time it takes and if she continues to make good progress, they may do home assessment and if she passes she may get straight home and back in her own familiar environment.
Take care everyone and stay safe with this horrid weather.

Morning
Well the slow cooked pork was ok but not very tender as I'd hoped it would be, there wasn't any fat on it and I'm sure that helps keep it soft. We ate it, and the vegetables were nice.2lb gone this week

That's brilliant, well done Sandhy. :T Other people must have noticed though, haven't they?Certainly was a big shock - hope it is just a blip but going to be a bit more careful this week!
I've tried the 1%, it's better than skimmed but wouldn't say it tastes like semi-skimmed. It used to be in a purple top but is now more of an orangy colour. I think milk is probably one of the things I use more than the specified 250ml (haven't bothered measuring for yonks!) Have measured the 300ml for today and have used most of it.
Denise
Sorry to hear about your gain, but you deserve a pat on the back for sticking with it, and now this has happened you'll nip it in the bud and get back to target again. (As opposed to people like myself who get to target and think they don't need the plan anymore.)
The 1% milk is orange in some shops and purple in others.
Well done Beanie and everyone else who has lost, hugs to all who need them.
We've got the shopping challenge today so menu planning is my next task.
Have a good day everyone.

Well done Beanie on your loss and 1/2 stone shiny:j.
Maman - you've got more willpower than me - that's for sure!!! DH opened a bottle of red last night and I ended up having a couple of glasses but at least I'd kept the syns low earlier in the day, so ended up with 18 overall so not too bad.
Today's plan is looking like EE:
B - mushroom & pepper omlette
L - HM onion soup; HEB Thin
D - Spanish rice with peas & prawns (will also have onions, garlic & peppers in it). Probably not a third Speed but lunch will be virtually 100% speed (apart from stock, S&P)
Think that's not far off a third over the day.
HEA - 300ml 1% milk
HEB - Thin

Morning,
So I weighed this morning and I'm sts. I'm ok with this as had some time off last week when I had Audits in work and was feeling very hormonal, so only really started properly again on Monday.
I'm having Bolognese tonight as well Maman.
Hopefully that is just a fluctuation Denise and not actual weight gained.
I'm trialling eating a bit more at meal times this week to see if it will stop me from craving snacks. Jury is still out...0 -
Morning everyone! Well done Sandhy, 4.5stones is amazing!
Menu for today:
B - 2 x hifi (HEB) clementine
S - banana, activia
L - either Subway salad (1.5) or veg soup depending on whether I go out or not!
S - Milky way crispy rolls (6.5)
D - leek and macaroni cheese (HEA), FF greek yoghurt, frozen berries0 -
Congratulations sandhy - that is very inspiringly to hear how amazingly you've done on SW!
BEG Hope that your Mum gets home very soon, I can imagine how much she is just eager to get back to her home comforts now.
Managed to stick to plan well yesterday although my stomach feels quite tender. I think it's related to my Coeliac Disease but I'm not entirely sure what is wrong. Today I'm part of the filming for Children in Need, so potentially its quite a stressful day. I'll be away from home from mid-afternoon to late night. I've decided to take a sandwich on my HeB bread, a fruit salad and some skips or wotsits to the studio and hope that I can get away to eat when I'm hungry! Don't want to be caught on camera munching. Or to be honest, not sure I want to be on camera at all!
Anyway, here is the plan for today;
Breakfast: Leftover Bubble and Squeak Cakes, Egg, Beans.
Lunch: SW Sweet Potato Ready Meal, Boiled Rice (brown if I have time), Stir-fry veg or salad.
Dinner: Lunch box made up of....HeA Cheese Salad Sandwich on HEB bread, Fruit Salad and Mullerlight, Skips or Wotsits (4 or 5 Syns).
Syns left over to cover any unexpected extras (10 or 11).0
