Wi - scraped a .4lb loss, if my scales didn't register the point of pounds it would have been a STS. Still better than a gain
Well done to losers and hugs to those in need :A.
I do read but have little to contribute other than my general moans about my intolerant tum and work stress (which aggravates my IBS). So better off keeping quiet.
Bit of good news this week, son passed his forklift test :T #loveB&Q.
Bad news hubby got speeding ticket, was within speed limit for cars but as in works van apparently restricted to 60 which he wasn't aware of . £100 and points :mad:
Oh and I burst a blood vessel in my thumb yesterday and it's very bruised and hurts like hell. The joys of getting old
Have a good weekend all :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Afternoon all!
I'm feeling slinkier lol. Hope you are all too!
Stuck to plan yesterday but I did also eat all my syns. Children in Need filming was long but enjoyable, I was like a child meeting Pudsey and I was on telly! Argh! I was wise to take a lunch box with me because there was a lot of temptation around food wise. And they didn't catch me eating my Wotsits because I had them at home with 6 squares of chocolate as a midnight feast. Maman I love Patatas Bravas when I'm having tapas - please could I ask how you make them?
My sandwich was really rich and satisfying - I did a cheese savoury in the end - mixed HeA Cathedral City Cheddar with half a red onion, half a tomato and about a tablespoon of quark. I'd definitely do this again as it was the nicest sandwich filling I've had in a long time. I'd run out of ELF Mayo so using the quark was a spur of the moment decision but I'm going to try doing a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich as well using quark as I preferred it to Mayo.
I also had a SW ready meal for the first time yesterday - the Sweet Potato Curry. It was much nicer than WW meals and a HUGE portion. I couldn't finish it. Brilliant that it is Syn free and whilst I don't like eating ready meals, it's good to know they are there for those days when you aren't able to cook. At £3, they are expensive and I wouldn't be having them often.
Today's menu;
Breakfast: 30g Gluten Free Museli (HeB tiny portion) with a chopped up banana and an apple strudel Mullerlight.
Lunch: SW Cauliflower Pakoras, honey roast turkey slices and Salad.
Dinner: SW Baked Bean Lasagne (with a twist as I add Mexican spices) and salad.
HeA - 250mls Semi Skimmed Milk for teas and coffee.
Snack on fruit.
Syns: So far 1 sugar in a coffee. I'm possibly going to the cinema later so I may treat myself there.
Hope you all have a good weekend and manage to stay on plan.0 -
Afternoon everyone! Weigh in today and I lost 4lbs please shala!
I also got my stone award so very pleased today!
miss_independent - I was really impressed with the SW ready meals. I normally wouldn't touch that kind of thing with a barge pole but I had a voucher so tried one and now I make sure I've got a few in the freezer for my rush nights. I think the Beef Chana Sag is the best one I've tried so far.
Menu today:
B - banana after weigh in (forgot my hifis and had no money to buy some at group so went hungry!)
L - Subway chicken salad (1.5 for sauce)
D - Ostrich burger (1), wholemeal roll (HEB), mayo (1), spicy potatoes, salad, ff greek yoghurt, frozen berries
S - Milky way rolls (6.5), popcorn (2 or 4 depending on how much I have!), clementines, activia0 -
Reporting a 3.5lb loss this week please Shala! :j
EE today...
Breakfast - Group taster morning, so a few random bits there. Almost all free (crustless quiches, etc) counting 1 syn for a little pudding thing
Lunch - Leftover pate from taster with crunchy veggies for dipping
Dinner - Hunter's chicken with wedges and courgettes
HEA - Went for coffee with friends after group, so counting milk + 3 syns for syrup
HEB - Hifi Lights0 -
Good to know musogirl, next time I will try the Beef Chana Saag. I've also heard the Chicken Tikka Masala is supposed to be nice. Congratulations on such a big weight loss this week! Also, to you June. Very inspiring!0

Hi all
I'd love to join in. I've been wanting to do Slimming World but can't afford it & we're on a tight food budget. I lost 25kgs/55 pounds this year through plenty of exercise & cutting back on calories but have put almost 10kgs back on since my dad passed away. I really don't want to put any more on!
Do I need to buy the books & if I do can anyone suggest where I could get them from?Grocery Challenge: January: /£2140 -
Forgot to say in my previous post... for anyone who wants to try the Iceland curries, my consultant said they're going to be on offer for 2 for £5 from today until the 24th.theblackrose wrote: »Hi all

Welcome theblackrose! I put on weight after my dad passed as well, which prompted my joining. So hugs to you!
You don't really need the books, as you can find most of the info either in the first few posts of this thread or other places online. But if you did want them, the easiest is to go to a local group for one week, get the books and then not go back if you can't afford the weekly fee. There is an initial £10 membership fee your first week, but you can often pick up free membership offers in magazines so you would only have to pay the standard £5 weekly charge. Or you can try and hunt some down on eB*y, there's always plenty listed but usually works out more expensive than going to a group.0 -
Welcome theblackrose. It's worth going along to Group just for the 1st meeting to get the books and the new members talk. No need to go back if you can't afford it. It's probably just as expensive to buy them on e-bay and they may not necessarily be the current books.
Popped into Weatherspoons when we went shopping so ended up having a small Red wine so will probably be over on syns todaybut I haven't gone over by many so far so not too worried.
Denise

Some brilliant losses, well done ladies :T:T
Re the SW meals, the chicken tikka one is nice but it has a lot of sauce. We bought just the sauce this time so we can add some chicken and veg and share it, it's lovely. Must try the other curry meals as it's one thing I'd rather buy than make from scratch.
Welcome theblackrose  think the packs are about £20 on ebay so cheaper to go to class if you can get to just one. Alternatively have a good read of the first few posts and ask as many questions on here as you want. It won't be as comprehensive as the packs but it'll give you a good starting point. If you post your menu's up each day then we can check that you're on the right track

Has anyone got the Slimming World Christmas recipe book? I'm just wondering if it's worth buying off ebay or not....0
