Horrific news about Paris, my heart goes out to everyone affected... #vivelafrance #prayforparis
Had some bad news myself yesterday, my Gran was taken into hospital with suspected pneumonia, after all the X-rays and tests etc it's actually lung and kidney cancer. She had breast cancer years ago but was given the all clear, we're hoping to find out more tomorrow...
Today I had:
Seafood sticks and mushy peas with mint sauce
Hungarian goulash with spring greens and mash
3 sesame ryvita (HeB) with 1x35g pot of Philly light (HeA)
2 hifi light (HeB)
Syns: jelly and fruit, glass of red wine.
Back at work tomorrow night so I'll take the last of the goulash to work with a couple of satsuma's and hifi bars...
Hope everyone's having a good weekend!Credit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526

Was it the one released last year? I wasn't that impressed with it, you could probably get all the recipes off the internet without spending your hard earned cash.. other people may have a different opinion thoughMatron_Midge wrote: »You are really lovely! xx

Just checking in to say I gained weight this week. After losing 4lbs in week 1, I gained 2lbs this week and I'm certain I followed the plan to the letter. Very disappointed but I'll keep going...0 -

That shouldn't have happened lily. You may have a big loss next week to make up for it but it's odd to gain rather than STS. Have you got time to post your menus so we can see if something synfuls's crept in?
It's dry and blowy here so I'm hoping for some dryish laundry too.
I portioned up the chilli this morning so that's 4 meals in the freezer and I kept some out for my lunch.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with chilli (carrots, onions, peppers, celery, mushrooms)lamb shank cooked on carrots, parsnips and leeks with roast potatoes, swede & carrot mash, cauli and broccoli
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, weekend wine
I always cook masses of veg on Sundays then I'm OK for lunch for a day or two.0 -
Thanks Maman
I've been super careful to write everything down as I ate it - tracking it on the online journal thingy. It really doesn't make any sense. I'm doing a third superfree, I've only once had 15 syns (last Sunday) and the rest of the time about 5-7.
I can only guess that maybe last week I saw a freak low or something. But I've got so much to lose it really is disheartening. I could understand it if I only had 10lbs to lose - but it's more like 6 stones.
I'm an old hand at this - it's probably about my tenth or eleventh SW attempt. My mum used to be a consultant back in the days when it wasn't even called SW and syns were sins.. So I know all the pitfalls - I know about sneaky syns creeping in, and the tendency to accidentally forget you've already had your HEB, etc. That hasn't happened, I've been so determined to do it right this time. I am hypothyroid which is partly why I've got to the size I am, but I think I'm on enough meds at the moment.
I just need to keep plodding. I might start posting daily menus here, just to see if you can spot what I'm doing wrong, cos I'm stumped!
So far today I've had baked beans on a slice of Genius Triple Seeded GF bread.0 -
Have just realised if I change the potatoes I was going to have for dinner for celeriac I'll be having an SP day so going to do that as I've got a celeriac in the fridge which I've had for a while so really ought to use it up.
Have made some jelly so if that's set may have that with a bit of sweetened Quark for pud. Otherwise will be an Eton Mess again.

Great idea denise, a few SP meals will help you see off those pounds.
I really enjoyed my JP with chilli. I added a big dollop of cottage cheese on the side. It's the same idea as having sour cream with it, really lovely creaminess alongside the spiciness.0 -
Thanks Maman. Have decided I'm probably going to be greedy and have the Eton Mess and the jelly so a nice bit bowlful and only 1/2 syn! Also means I'll get a bit more Speed by having the strawberries:D.
