BEG - well done of sticking to plan. It's really difficult when visiting hospitals isn't it? You're really lucky they've got a Subway. The nearest I can get to something healthy is an egg & tomato or ham & tomato on whole meal - but that's with 800g bread so syns for that and also some for spread as well. If I end up having to eat there I usually just go for one of the fruit tubs which they sell!
Meg - thanks for all those screen shots. That must be an enormous trifle with all that quark & Mullerlights in it! Don't think I'd be able to manage all that and DH won't eat it at all - doesn't like trifle! weird or what,LOL!

Thanks for all those meg.. I thought pringles would be worse tbh. I love pringles :drool:... chocolates I'm not so bothered about and we never buy the roses/celebrations as they are just too expensive. I saw in Tesco they are now selling pouches of roses as well as tins, less weight for the same money!
We bought some multi bags of dorito's for xmas - the thinking is instead of eating a whole share bag between us we'd be limiting how much we had by having an individual bag each.. I have to buy in some treats as we have family staying.. :whistle::o;)
BEG - well done on sticking to plan.. :T I hope it gives you a good result next week! How's your mom?

STS again this week
No one to blame but me - I didn't have to have the pork pie with my mushy peas at the bonfire did I.

You are right it will be huge, think I will split it in two and give one to DD.Slimming World at target0 -
Thanks for all the syns tips/pics meg. Really useful.As pic 49.5 for the whole tube which is what I would eat if I bought them, just cant resist em :rotfl:
I used to buy them every week a few years back. I remember DH and I would sit of an evening on our opposite sofas (as we do;)) and kick the tube back and forth so neither of us sat and ate the lot. That was my idea of will power!:rotfl:
I've gone off them now, so I'll probably get some in for family at Christmas but buy myself a few individual bags of ready salted.
Full of admiration for you b-e-g, you're being so sensible eating SW while doing the hospital visiting. They're revamping all the 'shopping mall' area of our local hospital at the moment so it'll be interesting to see if anything healthy on the sale when they've finished.
I'm having cheese sauce tonight. I banned it for almost a year when I was getting to target so it'll feel like a treat. I've been quite good this week when I think about it, just one off plan meal and that was last Friday with just some gravy to syn. See, I've talked myself into it.:D
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and beetrootbaked cod, new potatoes, carrots, cauli& broccoli cheese
Syns: cheese sauce, squirt of syrup
I'm going to look carefully at weight of fish (looks small as it's prepacked) and it might be small enough to make a HEB on a Green day. Then I can offset some of the cheese/milk in the sauce as an extra HEA. How's that for creative thinking?:rotfl:0 -
Hope OH enjoys the Cheese Sauce, he'll not feel deprived tonight;) Maman0

Hi all :wave:
Have had a couple of busy days with no time to read the thread and just spent ages catching up, you're such a chatty lot!
DH and I had lunch out in Cartagena today and actually managed to keep it fairly SW friendly - beans and ham to start, hake and vegetables (aubergine, courgette, red pepper and mange tout) for main, and 'seasonal fruit' for pud, which turned out to be a choice of Apple, pineapple or banana so as I'd had plenty of speed already I opted for pineapple. The foods were all ok but the Spanish do like to add olive oil to everything so not completely free.
Thanks for the tips Meg and for the trifle recipe - I'm saving that so I can do it when we're back as I can't get muller light here and wouldn't know about gelatine! One good thing about being here and not in the uk is less temptation to buy/eat Christmas goodies like Roses and Pringles. We were given a couple of gifts by customers before we left and I think they're both Christmas goodies but I'm sure we can share them with people.
Right, I've spent long enough here and it's time I was preparing something for tea, so have a good evening everyone, back tomorrow.

Quite depressing to see the syns in all those Xmas treats
My trouble is I can never have just one, so think I'm best staying well away! Not looking forward to finding out the syns in a mince pie!
Going out for an impromptu dinner with friends tonight, so will try and stick to plan. Going to London Friday/Saturday, so could be a challenging week all round...0 -
Hello everyone!
Meg I'm definitely going to make that trifle - thanks for posting it.
Well, today has been ok. I've managed to stick to plan despite the worrying I'd binge after counselling today. I went to subway straight after, had a double meat Turkey and Ham Salad and I got a lower fat coffee with milk from my HeA. I asked myself if I really wanted chocolate and surprisingly the answer was no!
I decided to head to the shops and stock up on some SW friendly treats. I bought some of the individual Mullerlights, multipacks of Skips and Wotsits, the lower syn Options and Highlights and some good syn value chocolate for when I do want to indulge.
Menu so far has looked like this for today;
Breakfast;
Toast made with Schar Gluten Free Bread, poached eggs, lurpak lighter (1.5 Syns for 1 tsp). Herbal Tea.
Lunch - Double Meat Turkey and Ham Subway Salad (no cheese, no olives), honey mustard dressing (1.5 syns). Small Latte (HeA) 1tsp Sugar (1 syn)
Dinner - Syn Free Quorn Chilli (loads of SF added), Jacket Potato. Cherry Pepsi Max.
I'm feeling quite sick atm. I'm sure I will become hungry before bed, in which case I've got fruit and Mullerlights. I've also only had four syns so I might have a Highlights (2 syns) and either a cookie (4.5 syns) or a finger of Twirl which is either 5.5 or 6 syns.
Hope all of you are having a good evening and sticking to SW!0 -
