Why are you only having 7 syns a day arkers ? Are you saving them?

...Hi Maman, I love "hearing" your advice. With regards to the seven sins! I like to save some for a glass or two at the weekend. I have switched from wine sins to the gin in a blue bottle!!
  • Hello all, just nipping in quickly to report 2lb off for me this week :j

Was at a beer festival thing on Saturday and thought I had the worst, longest hangover ever but turns out I have an ear and throat infection! The good news is I'm not even remotely hungry so have been on my best SW behaviour!!

Hope you are all doing well, will try and post properly tomorrw, hopefully I'll be feeling a bit more human by then!!!!

2lbs off much to my surprise I must say. It's been a long hard week at work doing stupid hours and when I'm tired I eat...

I really do need to find a way to avoid the work lunches - they are not healthy or any way SW friendly but it's very much a team thing and I don't want to draw attention to the dieting IYSWIM. Awkward.

Well done to all and I hope the sickies start to feel better soon.

Oh that's great. I make that enough syns left for 14 gins!! Even more if you had the big green bottle! DH was given a voucher for his birthday to tour the big blue bottle distillery. Looking forward to that!:D

Couldn't read and run. :T on your 2lbs orlao. All I can suggest on the work lunches that you approach whoever's in charge and go in on the healthy eating approach. Most employers like to think they're doing their bit for health and wellbeing. Not sure what sort of lunches are provided but perhaps asking for fresh fruit or wholemeal bread in sandwiches. Ideally get some colleagues on your side and ask together. Strength in numbers.

Thanks for all the suggestions for my ham and potato bake - think I'm going to go to the shop and see if I can get some Worcestershire sauce. If not, think I'll go with beans.

The story about the coffee shop drinks is very revealing, if not all that surprising! I used to have a lot of those types of drinks. These days I tend to stick more to something more basic with skimmed milk. As others have pointed out though, even that can be quite calorific/synful due to the amount of milk in there.

miss_independent - I like the sound of that pasta bake! What's your recipe?

Arkers - you just need to click on the "Quote" at the bottom of the screen and the quote will appear in the Reply box.

If you want to quote more than one post you need to click on the icon which looks a bit like a bunch of balloons and then on quote to get them into the Reply box. You can only do 3 quotes in total.

    HTH.
