Good morning all! Cheeky peek at the scales this morning puts me at about half a pound under my xmas eve weigh in, which is a massive relief. As I said the other day, I didn't overeat on xmas lunch and was on plan the rest of the time so wasn't expecting a gain but the bloating from all the butter was insane. Felt like that finally went away this morning so braved the scales. No official weigh in until Saturday though.

    Today's plan:
Breakfast - Arla, berries, grapenuts, coffee (½A, B1 + 1syn)
Lunch - Leftover turkey and salad
    Dinner - Salmon and veggies

For the turkey, DH ate all the stuffing last night and I threw away the skin, so saying it's syn free this time. Will use rest of A, other B and syns for snacks and pudding, as usual.

It's sunny today at long last so the other plan is to get out of the house, don't even care where to! :rotfl:

We had a weigh in last week that was first thing in the morning so it looks as if I lost the one and a half pounds I put on the week before.

Next weigh in is Wednesday evening and not looking forward to it but will be relieved to get back to SW normal.

We had a family meal at a carvery yesterday and I managed to have egg and bacon for breakfast, fruit and a mugshot for lunch and had pork, lots of veg, tiny amount of gravy and small amount of mash so feel I made an effort. I joined in September and have not lost a stone and a half yet but am trying to tell myself it is not a face or a "diet" and that my age , being hypothyroid and lots of diets in the past may well slow me down a bit.

  • Morning everyone. I am back on it today! Been to Aldi this morning and stocked up on fruit and veg. Will still be having a takeaway on NYE and prob a meal out at Wagamamas at some point as well though. Going by my scales I'm looking to be about 2lb up on where I was on xmas eve when I had a 2lb gain, so about 4lb gain in total at the moment. I've got 5 days to claw some of it back!

    Todays menu:

    B - 1 x hifi, clementine
    S - 1 x hifi (heb), banana
L - potatao, leek, cheese and bacon soup (hea)
D - chicken dopiaza, rice, poppadom (1.5), greek yoghurt, berries

So 13.5 syns left for snacks. Maybe a couple jaffa cakes or party rings.

    Hope everyone's having a good break:A.

I'm sort of back on it today too. This is the first day we haven't had visitors so back in control to an extent. I haven't gone too OTT with food or wine syns. Today is first really SW friendly menu but I'm going to have a few wine syns. Tomorrow we're out for lunch so I'm at the mercy of whatever family serve up. I think it'll be next Monday before I can really get back to normal though.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEX porage with milk
L: cold meats, pickles, fried LO veg
D: chicken wrapped in bacon, mash, roast veg (peppers, mushrooms, red onions, tomatoes).
Syns: squirt of syrup, wine syns.

You've probably averaged about a pound a week which isn't too bad. That's fine if it means you transform your eating long term rather than a quick fix which you'd probably give up on. I wouldn't let the underactive thyroid or your age put you off though. My SIL has just lost about 4 stone on SW with the same health issue and I'm really old:D and I averaged 1.5 lbs a week and have stayed at target for 4 years+.

  • Evening everyone

Just dashing in tonight to report a loss of 0.5lb which gave me my 9.5st shiney :j:j:j.

Totally did not expect that with the over-indulgences that have taken place but I will gladly accept it and hope that it doesn't come back next week and bite me on the b*m.

I'm not fully back on the SW bus til this time next week as we still have eatables which I would like to have a little share of and will have a couple of drinkies for NY but I would like to think that the majority of my meals will be SW friendly ;).

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
