Monday Mayhem: A bit of everything!
Open the windows and let some air in.
Starting upstairs, work your way through the house with that feather duster (or whatever you have). Dust and deweb, as far through as you like / need.
S&S a sink or two.
Follow your dust trail with the vacuum cleaner, only lift it upstairs if it's safe to do so.
S&S a toilet or two.
Clear kitchen worktops and wipe down.
Wipe out the fridge and stick any grot in the compost / bin.
Shine your sink
Extras:
Have 10min checking over your calendar for the next week or so.
Pay any bills or make any phone calls you need to.
Tense Tuesday: Kitchen & Dining Room
Wipe down the cupboard fronts, including kickboards, and get those door handles hygienically clean!
Wipe down your large appliances.
Clear a hotspot, is the under sink cupboard ready to topple out on you if the door opens?
Give your DR table a polish and change the tablecloth if needed.
Wipe down the chairs too. Including the legs! Mine appear to have Choc milk splattered on!
To the cooker - give the hob a good shine!
And the oven too, if you've any steam left!
Extras:
Set aside a little time for you, this week!
Mop a floor or two.
Weird Wednesday: Living Room
Dust from top to bottom
Sweep or vacuum
Wash a window or two, or polish a mirror
Thumping Thursday: Bedroom(s)
Then deweb and dusting the fluffy surfaces
And then vacuum... And
Wash a window or two
Wipe door handles and light switches
Dust your light fitting
Fearful Friday: Bathroom & PC area
Clean the sink, taps and grotty plugholes
Toilets! Don’t forget the outside!
Clear that cluttered windowsill
Back to bathroom, clean the bath / shower
Mop the floor
Wash a window or two
Squirt some bleach / antibacHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0 -
Morning all
It sounds like lots of you are glad this week is over. I hope your weekend's go smoothly and you have a change to prepare for the week ahead.
Wet here again this morning, should be dry at least for firework display tonight.
Plan is flying and paperwork and a bit of Christmas planning - I always start after bonfire celebrations. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning everyone
Off to get ready for my course in a minute. Dithering a bit about what to wear, dont want to be the only person in jeans but surely no-one will be that smart on a Saturday will they? Jeans and a smart top will do I think.
Pouring down here again so tumble drier will have to go on later. House is reasonably tidy but OH and the teenagers better keep it that way, if I come home to a complete mess there will be trouble.
Right, better go and make myself look presentable I suppose.0 -
Morning all.
Good luck with the course YSL.
Glad CY & the Bossy clan are feeling a bit better.
Piggers - great new on the money.
Well, it is pouring with rain here today so I'm not sure when I'll get to venture out with the dogs. So the plan now that I've had breakfast (horrible crumpet - but the dogs enjoyed it) is to get dressed, do some ironing and a quick hoover through. I won't bother with mopping yet as it'll just get filthy again.
And then I'll pop back to see what you lovelies are all up to and take inspiration from you.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

lol.. I've got a huge list today.. clear the landing as electrician is coming to change some light fittings (which of course includes removing the pj's and knickers from the toilet floor!! Dots no one elses!)
Put away 9kg of yarn
Start emptying the kitchen of gibble..
DEMAND OH takes some stuff to the tip
deposit a few things at DS1's
knit some more of this infernal shawl.. it took 3 hours to untangle the knots of wool the woman sent me last night.. NOT a happy bunny!
get some crap thrown at ebeast and local selling groups
DW needs to be on at least 3 times
WM needs to be on a couple of times but it is pouring so OH can hang it on the heated airer.
and I am hoping to get vacuumed right through too.. will wait until sparky is done.. there will be dust!
and bleach the bathroom mould again.. I might get OH to do the toothbrush scrub to get the last few bits off and sand the bathroom ceiling too.. I'm feeling that way out!
In addition to meals, wiping bottoms and noses, falling over cats, picking up as I go and a trip to the shop..
Ooh OH can go to pets at home too... we need a light for fishies!
are you feeling lazy yet?? lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
It's stopped raining, off for a quick walk before it starts again. Flying wise - I've taken the dry clothes off the airer and put them away and washed the breakfast dishes. Go me....Spend less now, work less later.0

I've flown! I removed all non-LR stuff from the LR, given in a good dust and vac and straightened the furniture. Kiddies warned nothing gets left in here today
so far so good. They've put their sticker books away
Then I tackled the kitchen - emptied and reloaded DW, washed plastic bottles etc, set WM going (x2), cleared all the counters and wiped everything down. I now have a nice little burner going for some fragrance
I've collected dry laundry that's been lying around so hung some of the first bits up already. Going to finish my ginger tea then get a shower. Think we will go out to play!
Good luck with your list, pigpen!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
