  • Well this week hasn't quite gone to plan. I ended up feeling really sick on Tuesday, and was asleep by 7pm. I wanted to flutter this week, but it hasn't really panned out like that.

However I have managed to collect my prescription today and a cottage pie is prepped and ready to go in the oven.

I am desperately trying to convince myself that this counts as flying.

Piggers - glad to hear that c.f. has to pay for his children... Maybe the karma tank is on it's way...

CY of course cooking counts as flying. Hope you are feeling better now.

My day started with the dreaded nurse, on which I shall not dwell other than fingers crossed I won't have another for 4 yrs.......which may be my last.......nurse quite amused I had worked that out.

Spent the rest of the morning finishing and emailing a report, felt good about it as I had been working on a new format to make future ones a bit less time-consuming to write. Another will be finished and sent this eve.

Then did a serious hour of flying:
    - cleared up some paperwork from kitchen
    - moved some stuff for recycling from the kitchen to the recycle bin
    - swept kitchen floor
    - put away various things which had found their way to under the stairs; was mortified when the meter man came this morning and I had to move more stuff than usual. All in correct homes.
    - emptied one washing basket and dry stuff from maiden
    - shook bedroom rugs and en suite mats out of the window
    - cleared floordrobe
    - tried on new dress I bought in the sales in March to see if it would be ok for a family party ( I haven't worn it yet as it is winter-like). I was pleased to find out that it fits, albeit it is a bit clingy and I have, at the moment, more bits for it to cling to than usual!!! but it looks ok.
    - vacuumed bedroom and en suite
    - remembered to renew library books on line

I feel quite good now; having not had time for exercise lately, I actually rushed round fast enough flying to get warm.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Aww CY hope you're feeling a bit better.

I ventured into the loft today. Gawd I have too much xmas stuff :o started a mini-clear out, and built up the stack shelves to try keep the rest tidy.

Some has come down to be donated and there is more to follow. Another day. When my stomach isn't screaming "you shouldn't have eaten lunch!"

Eck, and I promised the kids a bonfire...

  • Hi all

Hope you are feeling OK Bossy whatever you decide to do. And CY good to hear from you, whatever you manage to do definitely counts as flying.

I have gently pottered this afternoon, rather than following the list. It was manic at work this morning and I am on a training course tomorrow.

Going to put my feet up and read for a bit I think.
  • Feeling a bit frustrated tonight. My sister helped me organise some fundraising for the Oncology department at the hospital. It has gone well and we have raised just over £1,000. We want to buy some electric arm warmers as the department only has about 6 and they look like they came out of the ark...

Trying to find out who I need to talk to at the hospital is proving very hard work. In the end I asked the consultant's secretary - she has passed on my details to someone who will ring me on Monday, but she has issued a warning that they are restricted as to where they purchase equipment from. Now I wouldn't mind normally, but my sister did some research at her local hospital in Oxford and theirs come from Amazon and cost £25 each..

Bossy - hope your tummy is feeling better now.

Glad you're feeling a bit better :) Fantastic on the fund-raising !! Surely if you are going to buy them and donate them then they shouldn't be involved in any purchasing restrictions IYSWIM.

Very sorry have been MIA but had a bad week all round, starting with the freezer that died and all the wasted food, compounded by the £200 for a new one and just continued until this afternoon - so was feeling a bit down and out :( Don't think the grey and drizzly weather helped either.

Also I've been stressing a bit. My DS asked me to lend his friend £1000, which my DS was going to give me back when he comes to see me at end of the month. I was very worried that he might lose out if the friend didn't repay him. The friend texted me today, asking for my bank details, and then repaid the whole amount into my account :j

So I'm feeling much better now and ready to get back on the horse - or is it wagon :rotfl:

Have read through but not a lot sunk in apart from Pigpen's good news re some monies for the sprogs and the Bossy household's poorly tums - glad they are on the mend/mended.

So sending gws and posi-vibes, hugs, spoons and sticks ad infinitum all around and I'll be back flying with a vengeance next week.

Hope you all have an absolutely fantastic weekend

    Morning!

Managed to get out to bonfire - kids had a ball, but they were happy to come home after an hour, which suited me just fine!

I'll have another day of restricted eating I think. But I have a tip of a house to see to, and we might go out to meet some WAY friends later, if we feel like it. Have laundry to do - suspect we might need to use the dryer today...

Fantastic fundraising, CY, make sure you keep some spoons in reserve for fun things for you xxx
