Evening everyone,
piggers , result! Re maintenance, Christmas presents and flinging!
Bossy ,glad ds is feeling better, hope you are too.
No flying happening at the moment, don't know what is wrong with me, just keeping up with the dailies. Dark night doldrums I think.
On the plus side, we decided to have a bonfire in the garden tonight, just the four of us, I nipped over to algae to get some fireworks and sparklers, it was lovely.
Having a glass of wine now, catch you all later. X0 -

Glad you're feeling a bit better, bossy, and that Master Moo is back at school.
We've had DGD2 here for the day. Took her to the park for an hour this morning, and she got a wet bottom from sitting on the swings and seesaw things, but she wasn't particularly bothered! She's enjoyed being here and we love having her.
Dare I say that we have got Christmas Day planned already and we're still only at the start of November? DS2 rang and invited us over to their house, but I'm going to cook dinner for us allVery happy with that - and it will be great to see DGS3+4 open their presents.
Flying today has consisted of folding washing (with DGD2's help), re-making the guest bed (ditto - she's a dab hand at doing the pillowcases) and cooking.
See you tomorrow x0 -

Morning all.
Where has this week gone?!?! I spent Tuesday doing paid stuff, and again Wednesday morning, DD finally confirmed the bake sale was on at nearly 1pm so I spent the rest of the day baking. I used up the end of my porridge oats and thankfully had enough of everything else to make 2.25 batches of twinks which is about 72! I love the internet as I was able to use a website to convert the ingredient quantities so I didn't need to try and work out quantities myself as that would have ended in disaster. :rotfl: I also made some chocolate cakes, but the first batch to be baked looked like mushrooms (too much mix in the cases as I normally do muffin sized ones but these were normal cupcake sized), then the next ones were too small, third lot were just presentable so I sent those in lol
Yesterday I spent the day doing paid stuff and comforting a terrified dogSomeone around here had fireworks so loud they were shaking the house. We had bon jovi's greatest hits on maximum volume on the stereo, he'd been given calming drops the other day that should have still been working and we were doing our best to occupy him. However I went upstairs and he shot past me, ran into my room and onto my bed where he promptly peed himself
So my bed has been stripped, then I cleaned/dried/deodorised/flipped the mattress and my quilt has been washed twice! I was thinking of getting a new one anyway (this one is about 10 years old and getting too thin in places now) so now I have an excuse
Its also moved "new mattress" up my list of priorities to invest in.
Today's plan is to run errands in town as I need to go to the bank and call into a couple of shops. I'm going to get some jobs done in the house first though as I'm struggling to wake up today. Plus none of the forecasts can agree on what time it's going to start raining except "around midday" however it's not due to last long, I just don't want to get caught in the rain halfway to/from town as I'm planning on walking. I have quite a few desk based jobs to do so I'm going to get them done first while the WM does its thing.
When DD gets in from school she's doing homework, then tomorrow we're going to give the house a blooming good clean top to bottom. I hurt my back last week so the house hasn't been cleaned properly since before half term and in some places that really shows
Time to stop procrasting by looking at new beds, and instead get on with some jobs. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
