Bleach would be a last resort choice here in Valliland

being a scientist (seriously - 1st job etc) I would start with milder solvents (depending on what the grot was) and up the ante - and bleach actually wouldn't be on my list!

As an example I would start with water (and I have been impressed as to how many times that's as far as I have needed to go) depending on what it was - if I need chemicals it's usually WD40 as 1st go

Morning all. I'm not sure how much flying will get done here today as I'm going to scrub up to look human and then go to a remembrance service and memorial garden dedication, then later out for Sunday dinner with DH.

The evening will be spent helping DD sort out car insurance and passport.

Have a great day everyone. I'll check back in if I actually do anything - oh about to go on the rebounder for 15 mins to wake myself up.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning all.

Pigpen, those chairs look really smart and comfy :T I hope you enjoy your lazy day today!

I have updated my planner for this week and am horrified at how much is still being carried over from a month ago - and it was priority then :o
I am running the first session of a 3-week course (1 session per week) on Wednesday afternoon so have got to get everything prepared. First on the to-do list is to beg, borrow or buy a tree in a pot - and evergreens are not suitable. DH has offered to take me out to the garden centre this afternoon for a coffee, so hopefully I will be able to get what I need there, if nobody at church can lend me one.

The single bed is still covered with paperwork and I am fed up with seeing it. DH is awake now, so I don't need to keep quiet any more (I usually limit my early morning activities to reading, to allow him to get his much-needed beauty sleep :rotfl:), and when I've finished this post I will get on with filing and sorting and typing.

Late yesterday evening I did at least finally manage to download photos of the christening two weeks ago and our outing with DGD1+2 ten days ago, and send them to DS2 and DS1 respectively!

    Must get started.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed. See you later x

  • BM that is a long list for a Sunday, hope you managed to get 5 minutes for yourself in there somewhere!

I am trying to sort washing (looks like rain now), updating my spreadsheets, sorting paperwork and browsing about on the internet, still in my jim jams. Need to make plans for next week, mealplan, budgets etc.

But I will make sure that I get some time to put my feet up today!

Have a good Sunday everyone x

No rest here either- although I'm just having a breather now. I sent the kids in the conservatory with the kitchen timer :) amazing what they cleared :T I finished up in there and they've gone upstairs to wreck DD room :o
I've also emptied DW, sorted a wash and hung that up. And got another box and suitcase out of the loft
Decided on lunch and I'm just going to play mariokart with DS then I'll start on food.

    Morning.

Had another lie-in this morning, but it is after 3 late nights sitting up until midnight with the dog due to fireworks. I won't leave him until I know they've stopped and he's stopped panting like he's just run a sprint! DD and I are both showered, dressed in all clean clothes and the beds are stripped so I now have 3 additional wash loads to do when I only had throws and the dog stuff to do last night :(

Todays plan is to go to Mr A for the weekly shop hopefully while it's dry but I'm not sure I believe the weather forecast for today or even the rain radar app I have! If I'm going to go I need to go before 1pm if they're to be believed so I'm going to get a wiggle on. Then I want to try and finish as much of the lists as possible, sort out my household accounts, do a little bit of work, do the 5 loads of washing and I'm craving a roast dinner for some reason so I might throw some baking in the oven at the same time.

Monday Mayhem: A bit of everything!

    Tense Tuesday: Kitchen

    Level 1

    Wipe down your large appliances.
    Level 3
And the oven too, if you've any steam left! - Will do later when it's still warm
    Extras:
    • Set aside a little time for you, this week!
    • Mop a floor or two.
    • Have you sorted your winter list? Enough wellies? De-icer for the car?
    Weird Wednesday: Living Room

    Thumping Thursday: Bedroom(s)

    Level 2
    Replace with fresh linen.
    Level 3
    Wash a window or two
    Extras:
    • Locate hats and scarves etc - I need to add buying a shorter/lighter one to my list. Primarni here I come!
    • Find something you'd like to read
Fearful Friday: Bathroom & PC area
    Level 1

Clean the sink, taps and grotty plugholes
    Toilets! Don’t forget the outside!
    Level 2
Switch off the kit and wipe over the keyboard with an antibac wipe or similar
    Level 3
Back to bathroom, clean the bath / shower
    Mop the floor
    Wash a window or two
    Extras:
    • Squirt some bleach / antibac
    • Delete some emails
Right, mysu9ermark3t to do my list then I best get moving!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Nicki lie-ins here too, we all really needed it.

Been to MrS - treated myself to a half price proving basket and bought one new dinner plate, greatly reduced, which fits our plate rack so need to go back tomorrow and get some more.

    WMx2 done
    Boys hoovered the spare room
    DS3 fed the cats
DH has been scrubbing the mould of the roof of his car with eco washing up liquid

I'm going to have an hour in the drizzle sweeping leaves then make dinner, cake, governing paperwork , list for the week, ironing, fire lighting and a nice evening infront of the tv with the boys being hygge.
