My house is noticeably emptier.. finally.. and Christmas is what 47 days away??? More MUST go.. the one thing I am thankful for is that a lot of what I have bought is leaving to other houses and most of what is staying is covered in binable packaging!
OH is being tasked with cleaning out this cupboard then I am rejigging pans and things and flinging some plates.. I'M BAAAAACK!!:D
'Fraid I've only very briefly skimmed the Fred since my last post, a few days ago, so I hope all the poorlies are feeling better, and the damp dogs are now dry.:D
We now have a lovely dark green carpet-tiled kitchen floor.:T
Mr LW did the bulk of the actual carpet-tiling work, with me assisting as needed; but I've done my wrists in scrubbing the floor after we took the old tiles up. Going through rather large quantities of Oramorph to keep the pain manageable. Hopefully it'll sort itself out soon, as I don't see Dr S (consultant) again til January.
We moved Harriet's bed and her water dish into the lounge; she was as good as gold, totally unfazed by all the weird noises (I think she's a bit deaf) so no problems with nosy pooches trying to muscle in.:D
Sadly, I have to say goodbye to her tomorrow, as she'll be going home to her folks - they come back from their hols today, I believe. She's been a fantastic guest - I always say I try not to have favourites, but it's hard not to sometimes, iyswim.:o
Mr LW is back at work tomorrow for a week, then he has another week off, to use up his remaining annual leave; so I'll do what Flying I can this coming week (hands permitting) and it'll be a "lick and a promise" the following week again.:D
Oh yes - we've also booked our holiday for next year - a cruise to "Majestic Fjordland" for a week in May.:D Adults only (of course;) ) and it's the same ship we were on last March!:o
Ok, time to take Harriet for walkies, plus I haven't plugged the netbook in, so on battery only today, so will say
TTFN.
Ooh - before I go - Piggers great news re the maintenance order. :TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I'm in fling mode too! I have 2 suitcases with unwanted toys and xmas stuff - someone gave me a santa toilet seat cover - still in packaging, I hate stuff like that, so why did I shove it in the loft? Anyway, somebody might want it, along with the adult size Santa suit and fake beard, and various pairs of shoes DD has grown out of.
I have a collection bag, so I'll tie that to the suitcases and pop them out in the morning :T
My loft is noticeably clearer already - a fair patch of boarded section that is empty.
I also found a box choc full of subbutteo- I'm going to check on eBay - don't really know if they are popular these days. Suspect not, since they have no power supply!!!
ETA: oo! Seems there is quite a market on ebeast! I'll bring them down this week and see exactly what we have! Best ask inlaws if they want them first - I'm sure they won't but it's only polite!Bossymoo

Lovely to hear from you LW. Hope some more doggy bookings are on their way to you soon x
I have been quiet as I have had cross words with someone in RL.
Ironing done
DH swept up 2 bin bags of leaves today and I have just look out into the back garden and it is full of leaves again.
I have organised a package to go with a new to me company as it was far to pricey to send by RM. Other items relisted.
Ds2 has been working on his Christmas list.
Ds1 is on a train to our city but keeps changing his plans about when he will turn up here.
I am hoping to get back to emptying this house again soon. I'm going to channel some clearing energy.
Hope CY is feeling ok x
Thinking of Skinty, Vanilla and Wendywitch and others hope they are ok too x
Good luck with your courses Ionafan x0 -
I have managed to make my Christmas cake. Feeling really chuffed.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

mould....!!!
the green fluffy kind and dog fur.. or cat fur.. and bumholes
fair enough - I don't count mould as regular dirt - but a problem which has to be dealt with and I would use bleach...

Well done CY I did mine yesterday and that was bad enough with a cold (and not being able to have a medicinal tipple!)
Brilliant that you found the energy. I'm sure it will be appreciated that you made the effort.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Oh well done, CY, I confess I have never made a christmas cake
I'm not really a fan myself and it's not something the children eat. I like a mince pie though. MIL usually buys a cake for my house from a market I think in skipton. They are M&S ones where the boxes have been printed wrong, or got a bit bashed in transit. They sell for £2 instead of the usual £8 or so  so at least if anyone wants any (since I generally host christmas for "us lot") they can.
I still haven't made my chilli jam, either.
The children are in bed - woefully tired, both. But we've had a fun afternoon playing on the wii - racing, jogging (phew!), Peppa pig, bowling and then DD got the xmas disc out so we did some of the activities on that one, lol. Festive already!
Tonight, I'm going to do an hours paid stuff ahead of tomorrow, finish up in the kitchen and make some lunch stuff. I've already prepped breakfast for my in-the-office days :T
Also need to phone the docs and make the dreaded appointment _pale_ although in a warped two-birds-one-stone kind of way I can have my Mirena replaced at the same time. So there is a certain doc I wish to see about this. How much to bet the receptionist "needs" to know the intimate details? Gah.
Ugh. Wish this weather would let up. Hope it's not dampening everyone's spirits xxxBossymoo

Will pay the bills and sorn the car tonight. All tidying that I have done was not very thorough. The sweeping the path was slapdash. the dog walk ranked in the top five of worst dog walks ever. Had to do a long one as she needed it, but weather was appalling. But now I'm done, and can start the week from an ok position.
CY well done re cake. I have never made a Christmas cake. I might just give it a go based on recent cheese scone success!
Right, off to read with littlies before bed. Have a lovely evening.0 -

Dinner cooked and eaten, new dish, all enjoyed so that is good
DW on
WM on again as DS3 forgot to put his school jumper in the wash - just means no washing tomorrow
Having a little sit down then I need to quickly type a report and reply to some emails. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
