I suck at being a patient. I have to do everything myself - that is just how it is and clearly I am a self fulfilling prophecy as I am SO single.
And the credit card bill. It is a pain tho, I thought I had budgeted for Christmas but my family didn't tell me what they wanted and the house is such a mess that presents are too well hidden for me to find (loft with a boot er no thanks!)
I am SO worried about Mum, being at home has really made me realise the age is showing. She isn't eating properly. Example, we had breakfast at 11 (I was starving) and we didn't have lunch, we had a cup of tea about 3? and a mince pie. She isn't hungry now (guess what I am starving!) and dinner is maybe ready now but maybe not.
I fully appreciate that I am an adult and can feed myself - this isn't about me being hungry, what I mean is she NEVER wants to eat, she never fancies any food, she only had the bloody mince pie cos I had one and basically told her she was. We are having roast chicken now (God I am so hungry) but she will be too tired to eat it. I have no clue what to do.
Well I can't do much at the moment need to sort the house, work and then decorations out.
Just now the dogs came bounding over to greet me except one launched him self from the sofa and I tripped (wasn't expecting that , was only upstairs!) and God it hurt! horrible burning pain up what I assume are the ligaments I pulled. I cried out and dropped what I was carrying and the dogs all got upset. Should have stayed upstairs!
ah food! be back later with more whinging!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
How old is your mum Buffy? I know when you get older you don't eat much, you don't need many calories. Like you I've hidden Christmas presents (particularly Mr SA's) hope I can find them!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Morning,
I didn't make it back last night could not get comfortable, pain in my leg is pretty grim. Mum is in her late seventies and I suppose it is true she will need fewer calories. I think seeing it is the problem. Dealing with reality is annoying and inconvenient. I shall continue to pretend all is well. I know I need to improve our diet and stuff but it will have to wait till my foot is better and I can actually leave the bloody house!
cc bill is now 427. Still have enough in savings to clear it. But am not going to yet. With 24 on the other card (some how I managed to cancel my dd to paypal). After much faffing I paid what is due at the end of the month - my bill is issued on the 4th and due the 29th. 196 pounds was due and 231 will be due next month.
*yawns*
I owe Mum forty quid too. ugh.
Right paid that, this post is literally a things to do as I go.
I have 65 pounds in my purse.
200 pounds left in my spending money account.
I am going to
finish setting work for school
declutter one in my room and have a general tidy up
open some of the parcels I have got (annoying to do with the dogs downstairs and the rabbits upstairs!) and work out what else I need to buy.
so tired. could not sleep last night.

My parents barely eat, it's very worrying but its what they're used to. My only concern after spending so much time with my parents this year is getting them to up their fluid intake - they might have 10 cups of tea a day but no other liquids, trying to introduce a jug of water at meal times was not met with much enthusiasm.
I too have hidden some presents and then lost my list so it's highly likely that I'll find some rogue ones later in the year."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
yes Pooky! Mum is dreadful for drinking water, I get her a glass with dinner and it sits there all bloody night! She will only have maybe 4 cups of a tea as well and nothing else.
To be honest everything is stressing me out.
Got nothing done this morning.
going to have lunch and make a list.

Ok today was better. Been watching Murder she wrote
which always cheers me up.
Also managed to do most of the things on my list. and early AND survived without a nap.
Have decided I hate aging in all it's forms. Have to radically improve our diet and make sure what Mum eats is as fresh and decent quality as possible.
need to crack on with the house and Christmas plus ensuring I still have a job to go back to.
Debts are under control. bought new rabbit cage (£45) so can re arrange room and conservatory to hearts content.
Have to make these changes and KEEP them this time.

For what ever reason I don't seem to be able to get on with stuff when my sister is going to visit. However I managed to hoover, clear out a couple of cupboards and change the rabbits litter try and health check the piggies.
I tried to health check the rabbits but they aren't so cooperative!
I did the Sainsbury's order..........that is going to be expensive!
hey ho......:)Nevertheless she persisted.0
