  • Ended up stressing so much that I gave myself a migraine. attempted to go to bed early but since my old standby tablets have been altered by the EU they no longer "put me to sleep" so there was little chance of that and I felt so guilty about the animals who hadn't been cleaned out I cleaned them out.

eventually went to bed about 11 but couldn't sleep. woke myself up in a panic = probably dreaming and was sort of awake for a few hours.

of course now I am so tired!!

ordered magnesium malgate to help with the migraines and sleep.

also am going to order sleeping tablets!

might go back to bed for an hour.

    paid all my bills

    emergency fund = 348

    spending money = 0!

    CC x2 = 0

    savings = 3750

    need to get petrol.

    interesting............get paid on Thursday.

    I love Tom Hanks.

  • So this last week it has been work and work and work. And then pain and pain and pain.

On Friday my Doctor phoned to tell my ankle is broken - an impact fracture of the ankle what ever that means.

so that does explain the pain. I have to take another day off and go back to the doctors. I have no clue what they will do I have been walking around on it for 3 weeks! I didn't get to speak to the doctor cos I was late in ringing back but spoke to the medical receptionist, so am in the dark re damage or treatment. Need to ring at 7am on Monday for an appointment.

Am thoroughly miserable about it. It is frightening when I realise how much of my situation - it all depends on me. Obviously that is my fault (like everything! ;) ) but there isn't anyone to help, no partner, no family, all my friends are busy with their kids (understandably) work couldn't give a crap. I really should have gone to A and E when I fell over. Would have been so much simpler and less painful. But I didn't want to upset Mum. She was so worried when I came in (covered in mud and sobbing!!) so I iced it and stayed home. I didn't especially want to go on Guy Fawkes night either, but she really panicked and I can't bear it, hate seeing her upset and neither of us are keen on hospitals. oh well. 20/20 hindsight eh!

Sorry just needed to rant! so fed up!

I completely forgot about car insurance.

It will have to go on the credit card which is depressing. But not the end of the world and it will be paid off quickly.

I have had to do Christmas shopping on line which is ending up as more expensive as I can't go and collect it and to be honest my MSE brain seems to have left me!

    any how

    best get on with something.

Oh hun! I hope you haven't caused too much damage by walking on it for a few weeks :(
    Must use my stash up!
  • It turns out even tho I consider myself quite lazy being tied to a sofa all day is deeply annoying! Not as annoying as being at work so hey!

I did some work. ALL the deliveries in the universe arrived. I wrote some lessons, got irritated by an educational "blog" self promoting load of !!!!!! Dinner was nice. It is funny having a day to enjoy the small things, watching the rabbits, the dogs.

Watching a film called Possession. About Victorian poetry and historical research. Honestly better then it sounds! the Gwyneth Paltrow character asks the male lead oh are you going to write when you grow and he replies oh no I am going to teach like everyone else. hmmm.

In other news I shall have to knock the 5000 by the end of the year plan on the head. Everything is more expensive when trying to get work done and not having the bargain head on. Plus car insurance. I hope that Christmas won't put me in debt but that will.

Have over spent on things like the pets and the body shop. oh well. Am not being too silly and aside from a few bits I should be all sorted. Should ;)

I am disappointed in myself - I got caught by work again. Believed the !!!!!!!!. It has taken this injury for me to rest and reset. realise that it is not important. The kids are. but not the BS.

So. I shall take my time off and get my priorities straight as well as my practice. Been a bit off.

Any how film finishes in 40 minutes. Should I stay or go to bed.....

Look after yourself Buffy. It's necessary as you are the one everyone relies on - your mother and all the animals.

I read the novel of Possession many years ago, it was wonderful. Think it was a contender for the Booker and I loved that it called itself a romance. Not sure Gwyneth Paltrow fits my image of the heroine.

oh bufster - sorry to hear times are not good! How long until your christmas holidays? Will you be able to get some head space then? Life would be great if we didn't have to work. Or rather, we could work in something which didn't make us stressed.

You're right though, at the end of the day, it is only supposed to be a job and a tiny part of your life. Easier said than done I know. x

  • So had a week off.

Got next week off too. And given what the doctor said maybe a week after that.

It is ok. I am getting better at the being a patient thing. Wearing the boot is surprisingly annoying - all the kids I have seen with them do so well!

Was meant to go out today but am still a bit nervous of falling, don't know how you do it Beanie! I can't feel the ground under the boot so keep putting it on uneven ground (I may or may not have been in the garden) and hurting myself! Yes I know I should still. Am sitting still now. And am ok indoors, so am sticking with that.

moneywise, I have talked myself out of buying some fish online, I did buy some more Christmas stuff tho...... I saw some thing on Amazon that I thought Mum would like so yeah.

I have a large credit card bill, nearly four hundred pounds (!) but it is covered by my being paid...

I am going to clean today. Mostly sitting on my bum but clean nonetheless!
