Hello Misspickle. thought I had posted here but apparently not!

Ankle might be fractured and is still painful.

    moneywise all is well.

Head wise I am just so stunned by the events in Paris that I can't really think straight. Just so horrifying. I don't want to read anymore.

  • I especially don't want to read some of the absolute !!!!!!!! I am reading on my newsfeed.

The tabloids really do just stir and stir. And everyone seems to ignore the "unconfirmed" bit at the end.

any moron can post !!!!! on twitter.

  • I know :( its shocking news.

I can't watch the news on the telly much anymore :( makes me depressed.
There is no getting away from it with social media though.

So sorry to hear about your ankle!!! God that must be a real nuisance.
I hope it gets better soon :o
What are you up to this weekend? Weather is pants
  • I don't know what is going on with my ankle, about 20 minutes ago the pain got SO much worse. was in agony. Something clicked and (overshare) I thought I was going to be sick it hurt so much.

Put some gel stuff on it and the compression (lovely flesh coloured item) bandage on it feels a bit better and I have stopped panicking.

I can't drive so am not going anywhere (amazing what you can get off of Amazon you know!) but have a few plans.

    Need to
    1. clean out the rabbits
    2. ditto guinea pigs
    3. ditto hamster.
    4. hoover.

    would like to
    5. put up small chest of drawers.
    6. empty a storage box of books.
    7. empty a storage box of papers.

So. I might go do the piggies and hamster. Rabbits are a bit more involved.

    I need a shredder.

  • That sounds really painful buffy :( make sure you keep it well supported :o and try not to put all your weight on it when your are cleaning the little animals out.

Sounds like a good list :T
  • Stop reading news feeds. I only listen to radio news when I'm out and about and primarily for the traffic. I've already had my cry this morning about Paris and know there will be more tears as we learn about the people caught up in this tragedy. I feel so helpless but in a way, am more determined to get stuff sorted as I wouldn't want my stuff to cause agonies for others if I was caught up in something similar. All we can do, is try to get something good from this. For me, it'll mean a trip to the chazza to donate. Pathetic I know but not sure what else I can do.

As for you, if you're not content about your ankle, go back to the hospital. The world needs good people to be firing on all cylinders.

  • You are correct in everything you say INOD. I cleaned out the piggies and the rabbits, hamster was sound asleep and I didn't want to wake him. And I hoovered*.

*every time I write hoovered it gets changed to hovered. Oh how I wish I could hover!

And I can take my next set of pain killers. woo hoo!

am watching the Lord Mayor's Show. lots of happy people in the rain with various inflatables!

Sorry to hear your ankle is still painful Buffy. It's dreadful about Paris isn't it, doesn't bear thinking about.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Yesterday I managed the rabbits and piggies. and the hoovering.

Am paying for it today. Painkillers aren't really working yet and no position seems to help.

Am going to watch an episode (or six) of Supernatural and then see if the next lot of pain killers taken with food will work better.

    first breakfast. then supernatural.

I think I shall devote myself to deciding who I love more. Sam or Dean?
