At the moment there is no plodding
last night whilst dog walking I slipped over in the mud and landed on my ankle. And I ain't light let me tell you! So I immediately burst into loud racking tears. Realising this wasn't practical and would likely attract local wildlife I dragged myself up and with more tears and odd noises plus two bemused dogs staggered home - I was really near luckily!
My ankle has swollen up and is turning black. I can't weight bear on it and doubt I can drive.
My poor Mum had to run round after last night and today, she is shatteredand currently asleep on the sofa.
One thing that works very well is stick my foot under the cold tap. In the bath. helps masses with the swelling.
This isn't very money saving, as have had to order pet supplies and er......a pair of crutches from Amazon......£18 for the crutches and less hassle than A and E.
any how that's my news - aside from a super horrible busy week at work Hope all is well with everyone

I'd cancel the crutches order and go to A&E to check it's not broken. They will lend you crutches regardless.
Bag of frozen peas on it, some ibuprofen and keep it elevated too.
Hope you get some relief soon XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
Best to get it checked out properly Buffy. You could do more harm than good if it's broken.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Ditto to getting it checked out, even if it is sprained/twisted and not broken then they can give you the best advice (and crutches!), oh and if needed they can sign you off work.Must use my stash up!0

Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope that you feel better soon but I have to agree that it may be best to get things checked out. My Hubby broke his ankle and walked around on it and I think did more damage (he actually went to a stag do)!"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0

I don't think it is broken, the pain isn't getting worse. I think if I were here on my own I would have gone- yesterday it scared the !!!! out of me. Obviously no one likes pain but feeling so vulnerable was horrible. I could have got a cab etc and probably one of my friends would have come with me.
The thing is being here with Mum would have meant her taking me and that is just too stressful for both of us. I have rested all day (not unusual for a Saturday I have to say!) and the swelling has levelled off, although I thought it was bruising earlier it hasn't really. I can't drive so no work for Monday which is a just rubbish but hopefully it will only be for that day.
Anyhow it isn't like I don't have loads of work to do so will check finances and start work on a revision guide.........tho have just realised some stuff is upstairs. pants!!!

Hello lovely,
Just wanted to say don't bother with music magpie. Go on ziffit or webuybooks and compare quotes. They are fantastic - so much faster at processing, pay more out and take more stuff! Games, books & CDs. Really love them. Especially good with old textbooks which I'm sure you have.
Hope you feel better soon. XxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000
