  • It took me 45 minutes to clean out the guinea pigs, so am not going to work tomorrow. (it normally takes 10 minutes - partial clean)

Need to do the rabbits now and hoover. going to do a lot of that sitting down! so work is not going to work. :( This causes me massive anxiety. I hate not being there. so much to do.

trying not to think about it.

in other news I have rediscovered a bank account and set it up to pay my cashback payments into.....plus any extras like surveys (if I EVER get to pay out.)

I am going to ask for a desk chair for Christmas - exciting eh!

and crikey there is a load of crap on tv about soho.

any how that aside! must set work and sort out a list of things to do.

    ugh. XXXX

  • Awwww so sorry to hear about your ankle :(

I'm always falling over my dog so this could easily be me :o

Thank you for my thank yous on my diary :)

Hope you get better soon. Put your feet up and rest it.
  • Just ignore this post. Am ok really. Tired and my foot hurts.

I sat at parents' evening tonight- good attendance but my class are quite small so lots of gaps and time to people watch. families. proud parents. disappointed parents. bored kids.

It was a small thing. One of the new teachers was talking about what she was going to do when she got in. And she just casually mentioned her husband.

For some reason I had it in my head that she was single. So dedicated and good at her job. And she is cool and geeky but not so young - tho looking at her again tonight maybe younger than I originally thought.

And I had thought it is ok, you can get job satisfaction and fulfilment, you can do it. But it turns out her whole life isn't school (and obviously good for her) and her face lit up. It did. Really, just at the mention of her husband and a cup of tea.

The cynic in me tells myself that that is not for me. I don't need it.

But tonight that one comment. The idea that one person could bring such happiness was sparked. And I felt such aching sadness.

    It was awful.

  • It gets everyone like that sometimes although the person being referred to can be someone different. Sometimes hearing someone talk about their mother with whom they have a good relationship makes me sad about how things are with me and my mum. While not ill wishing her in any way, sometimes it's easier to be without someone than to be dysfunction ally with the wrong someone

Yeah :( I gets like that sometimes. For about five minutes :D
Ive been on my own nearly ten years
Major trust and commitment issues :(
I normally browse all the relationship problem threads when I get a bit down. That is guaranteed to cheer me up and make me thank god I'm single :rotfl:
  • Just to add. Does make me worry what would happen if I got ill or had an accident. I don't know what I'd do!
I'm not great at asking for help and once dd leaves next year I won't have any family or close friends nearby to help out :( just gotta pray I keep my health.
I don't have much money and will be relying on me working full time. I can't afford to be poorly.

Hope this makes you feel better :D we can look after each other buffy :T
  • Waves to buffy

Hope the ankle is OK :o
