  • If I may be so bold as to askBuffy, why has YOUR emergency fund been used to cover insurance and fixing up of your Mum's car?? Bit rich of your Mum and your Sister to mock your finances if you are paying for stuff like that!! Xx

Sensational news concerning your lump! I'm just catching up here. That is shattering about your friend. I'm sorry you have lost someone you counted as a good friend.
I'm glad your mom is happy with the car. You are a wonderful daughter. ( does your swanky sister help out financially?)

  • I'm sorry to hear about your friend. She was taken to young. Glad someone else asked about the insurance.

  • Swanky. such a great word.

I kept the fixing of the car a secret. we were never going to find the same car as hers nearby. The insurance, she pays me back monthly, instead of being charged more for the insurance via dd. It started cos I used to sort her insurance whilst she was away.

But yes, the irony isn't lost. Although it is all my choice, I don't think my sister knows really or if she does it makes no difference. I am still the idiot baby sister. Funny, the other day someone told I was the oldest and I was like no, the youngest, they didn't believe me!

any how bed now. What a thoroughly depressing weekend.

  • Can I have some opinions please?

The clinic phoned back today, the lump it turns out is fairly sizable, still benign but they have offered me that I can have it removed it.

I need to arrange a meeting with them to discuss it fully.

But what do you think? Does anyone know? had experience etc?

I would get it removed just to be on the safe side. I had a lumpectomy and you are let out the same day, which I think will be a similar operation for different reasons and they will probably take more tests just to make sure.

I know everyone is different but you are just a bit sore and should be back to normal in a few days. I had my op eight months ago today and the scar is minimal.

Just my thoughts but you cant be too careful when these sort of thing happen.

    Take care

I'm not one for having stuff done unless it's medically required so go to the meeting and ask why they feel it would be best.

It might be that it could grow bigger, cause an issue to milk ducts if you want to breast feed or just hide other issues if there were to arrive.

It's just day surgery so you should be able to plan it for school holidays.

It must be a current medical recommendation if they are offering to remove it. Is this private care or NHS?

  • It is NHS.

the phone message they left scared me witless but they are happy it is not cancerous.

I had to call back today and have asked for an appointment to discuss my options as I know nothing. I am swaying towards removing it just because I think it might hurt sometimes? Am not sure tho.

    Banging headache. XXX

  • I think if you get it removed it'd be easier to keep checking for mean and nasty lumps. If you leave it, you could dismiss something sinister as just a change in shape.
