Good to hear that you have more viewers lined up. Without. "Prospects" you have no prospects.!!

Sounds like Chase Buchanan (love the name - sounds like one of those American lawyer firms on the tele) are doing OK with the marketing.

What am I doing at home, ??

Too ill to go to London. Got the dreaded lurgy and feel awful. The kids have gone though (couldn't waste all that money) and they are having a whale of a time.

What a day to get sick.......:(

I'm proper Fed up, even the cat is whingey today. :rotfl:

Sorry you're not well, LL, and best wishes to you and tigger.

Best of luck, AC, it is only a matter of time and things rarely happen the way we want them to, let alone when.
  • Really annoyed, and irritable today . London is a dump! Somebody buy my flat !
Humid as hell! Roadworks in St. Paul's causing massive delays .
Circle line not running on the underground .
Plus , the job is stale ! Nothing going on , in a horrible building .

That's how things are today ..
    ( thank you ;))
  • Did I mention the beggars ?
They even come into the coffee shop ( cafe Nero ).
I did not ask for a beggar with my americano .

Chin up, AC. I was only ever in London for more than a day once, when I was forced to go on five-day course, one June, long ago. I recall it being so humid, so noisy and the air so filthy I could not imagine how anyone could stand to live there. I stayed in a B&B in Holborn. Like a fool, I packed for the five days as if I were staying where I was, not factoring in the humidity/pollution... I had to wash my blouses in the room's tiny sink with hand soap, as I needed two changes of clothes a day, hang it up at the window and pray it would be dry by morning; such fun. No iron, of course.

I really don't envy you. There is no substitute for clean air (relatively speaking, nowhere is that clean these days) but at least I can breathe here, except when some thoughtless idiot is burning plastic or the wind is in the right quarter to convey the maximum benefit of the pig sshh. There are times we have to burn one incense stick after another at both front and back doors just to keep the smell of the pig !!!! at bay... oo-arrrr! :D

It is great to see you back. Watching this space for more news of your journey; you will get to Poole, even though it might seem you are swimming against the tide, at the moment. (See what I did there?) ;)
  • Love the wit smodlet .
I feel better now, as my 'office' has some air blowing through the vents .
Leaving to go home in an hour or so .

    Today's.viewing , don't think it happened . Tomorrow a viewing around 2.30
    ;)

Ah. AC. Have a dodgy :grouphug: it will soon be over.

There's a buyer out there somewhere.

I adore London - for a visit - but couldn't live there.....When my sister who has asthma lived in Surbiton she had to be hospitalised at least once a year. She couldn't wait to move out in the end. Good job she saw sense because she was wrecking her lungs.

Derbyshire is much better - no "satanic mills", although both Derby itself and Nottingham do have traffic congestion and poor air quality at times.

I was ok in Barcelona but when DIL went in February she was poorly. And when I went to Sorrento once I thought I was dying, I could hardly breathe. Went to Beijing in 2002 and it was fine, more cycles than cars back then. Now the air pollution there is bordering on lethal.

I think cities are always worse in hot weather......they are just heat islands......something to do with ozone and traffic fumes coming together to create a really toxic combination. Roll on electric cars.

When you do get to Dorset your lungs will be so grateful. In fact I'm sure you will feel all sorts of health benefits, Not least of which life will be so much less stressful for you.

Just hang in there AC. Come on here and vent if it helps
