Good luck :) I've still found nothing to buy  - meant to be moving out 1 Sep - it's been a month now and I'm thinking I'll wait until the second week of August to pull out of the sale - do you think that sounds reasonable

Hey, LL. So sorry you feel rotten. Please, give me a clue how you make more than £10 a day, mystified, much. I've made £10 on one or two days, complaining to npower but have been told I will not receive any more compo as I have had too much already. This was by an exceedingly rude and unpleasant, female individual about whom I complained and got another £10. Think that well is drying up, now.

They should listen to the call where I declined £80 to close a complaint that was already closed. I may be a demanding customer but not a dishonest one. If it feels as if I am posting on the wrong thread, I am not, just trying to distract you from feeling lousy.

AC, I really hope you do not mind this tangent from your thread. Hugs to you both.

Anna, you will find somewhere, you will. Even we found somewhere and we did not want to move in the first place! Fight on, sister! :) Personally, I would not pull out of the sale; buyers do not grow on trees, as AC is discovering. Maybe try asking your buyers to be patient as you are looking as hard as you can but have not found anywhere you really love quite yet???

thanks Smodlet, I really don't want to lose the seller but can't justify renting while something comes up, I'd be looking at at least £1k a month!!
I'll take your advise nearer the time if I'm still in the same boat. My buyer is living with his sister at the moment as he completed on his sale about a month ago and he's cash so ideal

If you sold, would you have some spare cash to rent for a while ( 3 months )?
I ask that, as if you did sell with nowhere to immediately go to , you may be in a strong position as a cash buyer.
LL, should be here shortly to advise . ,)
Hoping you get sorted out soon

    Hi AC,
Once I've sold I will have over £350k cash in the bank:eek::eek:
I will be a cash buyer on my new house...
The shortest term let I can have where I live is 12 months and it'll be at least £1k her month hence my reluctance. I also don't want to move out with no idea where I'm going. My parents have said I could stay at theirs which terrifies me, but, if i had a date that I was moving out that would be fine.

Anna, do you know how much of a hurry your buyers are in? If they can wait, having a buyer on board puts you in a far better position than if you have not (subject to contract) sold, as I am sure you know. If they are in a rush, do they have another property they are interested in? Can you find out, subtly?

He (older man which is odd for a 4 bed house on own but hey ho!) pulled out of a sale the week before offering on mine as the seller could not find anywhere else to live. He moved in with his sister about a month ago when he put the offer in on mine because he did not want to lose his buyer. I might be able to push him out a couple of weeks but I'm not sure past that. I am reluctant to ask the EA at the moment as I don't want to scare him off yet. I was planning on waiting until August to mention anything at all - what do you think?

I am sorry, I do not know. Where the 'ell is LL when she is wanted? LL, your input is requested, please.

I would leave losing the buyer until the last minute/nanosecond, personally, can't see a reason not to. What do you owe them? Nothing! As we have told AC, there will be other buyers but totally understand time is a constraint.

Unfortunately, when it comes to buying or selling property, imho, it is time for morals to take a back seat. We may deplore the necessity and, on rare occasions, find it unnecessary but what you need to keep in mind, imo and ime (experience) is that no-one is looking out for you but you, Anna. The property market is one step up, imo, from the second hand car market; it brings out the worst in us. You are doing all you can.

And, if he is an older man on his own, looking at a 4 bed... BTL, do you think? In which case, again, only imo and ime, where do morals come into it?
