LL - so sorry for your loss. I know it was expected but I don't think the heart is ever prepared. Peace and love to your family.0

So , fridge freezer working . Hallelujah .
I will buy a bulb for it on Tuesday . Will call the other electrician,on Tuesday
( pointless trying today imho ). Then , by the end of next week I can use the washing machine etc and all electrical problems solved.
Just been out shopping . Sitting here exhausted , I realised something just now . I am more or less in the same condition as when I came out of hospital the first time ( Feb 2015 ). Breathless etc .
It didn't take me too long to get back from the excessive breathlessness etc
that I had back then . But it shows how far back I e gone health wise since the upheaval etc. This flu isn't helping .
Anyway , happy new year to all .0 -

AC sorry to hear you are still feeling poorly. As others have said previously you have been through so much the last 6 months and moving is so very stressful on top of your not feeling generally healthy. It will take time and I think you body has just said "enough now" - when you have the time to rest up and take care of yourself.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Yeah , you're right mrs. P
Seems like rest is the key
Thanks0 -
Happy new year to one and all.
Wishing you all peace, health, joy and prosperity.
Well I have not started well. A full blown chest infection, and of course the antibiotics are making me feel very queasy. Hey ho..I'm sure I will be ok in a day or two.
AC. Look after yourself. Maybe start slowly with the new year exercise programme. Let your body bounce back in it's own good time.
You have had a busy and stressful year, gently does it.0 -
Well, a wet start to 2017 but good reason to hunker down on the sofa and read. Have packed Christmas away until next time, and am currently eating the last of the Pringles. Having weighed myself this morning I probably shouldn't be but it is still holiday season, isn't it? Have looked at my money spreadsheets and see that over 2016 my outgoings were £204 more than my income (pensions, bank interest, DD's contribution) so I managed to hold on to my capital. Not bad considering I had some work done on the garden, and the bathroom and kitchen decorated. However, having just paid the best part of £600 for cat's treatment (with the possibility for more to come), and the proposed council tax increase in April, I will be looking to make some real cut-backs to my expenditure this year. Have already planned January food shopping and should get away with just needing to buy fresh stuff (fruit & veg., milk, cheese, bread) until the end of the month. Various "treats" had started to creep into the basket so shall be watching that which will hopefully be good for the waistline (it must be there somewhere!) as well as the budget.
Alfie cat is fine by the way - had some teeth removed and was a bit sorry for himself at first but is back to normal now (snoring on the bed behind me). He may have to have some more out but the lower jaw-bone is very thin apparently so the vet is concerned it may cause more problems than it solves so we are going to monitor him for a couple of months and see.
Hope all the poorly people start to improve soon. Best wishes to everyone.0 -
Glad cat is okay:) LL, you've had a lot going on for some time also, so you too need a rest
So, got phone call from electrician . Nice chap, he thinks the washing machine needs to be replaced , and then all should be well.
Landlady is cool with that .
Dettol is my friend at the moment . Stayed in bed until now . Today, I'm coughing , but not as much . Maybe I should replace vinegar with dettol on my dinner
I cannot believe I have 5 months or so to sort my life out . Scary.
I'm gonna look at that flat during the week . Surely , I cannot be a walking phlegm ball for much longer.(sorry )
I have seen a topfloor flat, 1 bedroom with roof terrace. Looks nice.
At my age / health, not sure if it's advisable. It's 3 floors.
Near everything , so I have to have a look.
Speaking of health: I have just been taking the basic stuff of the important medication .( I left out the capsule for rosacea, and calcium tablets).
Obviously , I'm taking prednisolone religiously and pyrostigamine .
However, I actually forgot to take amlipodene( blood pressure 5mg), and haven't felt any worse in that sense for 3/4 days.
I'm gonna see if I can do without it altogether.only been taking it 5 years.stress related imho, and as the tension is gone I may get away with it.
Will talk to doctor within the next 2 weeks and see what he/ she says.
Gonna start another thread about where to put the money away from sale of flat.
Cheers0 -
AC! Please don't just stop your blood pressure meds without a doctor's say so! OH did that for months and felt fine; he wasn't. Been back on 'em now for quite some time. I could have throttled him! (Logic bypass, I know)0
