Merry Christmas all. I know I am a bit early but it's getting a tad breezy up here. Maybe a white Christmas for me.0

Happy festiverating, y'all. We are all Solsticed out, but for the candles again, tonight, of course. I gotta go out there in that wind... Brrrrr!0

Okay , the end of the flu is in sight
This morning my friend offered to take me to the big yellow storage place ,so I could get a couple of things . We were almost there , until ...I realised I left the keys at home ! Doh!
So we had a couple of coffees instead . No biggie really . It would've been nice to have my bass and a few bits back , but next weds the plan.
If this was me a couple of years ago , I would've been cross and sad .
I can go there anytime tbh ,so I'll see .
Cancelled the viewing again today ,but no worries .
It's stupidly busy in Waitrose . Think I have everything to last me over the festive period .
Hope your day is good0 -
Festive spirit to one and all. Or as a friend says 'Let there be bunting and frolics'.
I am so far pottering along without any festive thoughts, but tomorrow is, after all, another day.0 -
Happy bunting, wendym
Let them eat crisps!0 -
Glad you're getting better AC and feeling mellow. I did a Waitrose run yesterday (early) and parked ok, got my stuff, but then spent a-a-ages trying to get out. The car park has 2 entrances but only 1 exit and a rather strange one-way system that means the exiters (Wexiteers?:rotfl:) have to turn right into the enterer's (I know that's not really a word) traffic flow. Would they let people out? No chance, and no eye-contact either. Still, made it home and spent a good hour putting things in cupboards and closing the doors quickly in case everything fell out. Even remembered to fill up with petrol as I will have to drive to youngest's on Xmas day.
Productive day today. Up early to deliver presents to twin grandsons who have informed me that they are probably too old for Dr. Who this year - they're 10 and desperately want to be "grown-up". I did tell them that I tried to be grown-up once but didn't like it so stopped. They smiled politely so I amazed them instead by singing along to Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise (yeah, Nanna knows all the words and is down wid da kids, yo, etc.). Then home to ice the 2 Xmas cakes which turned out so much better then when I have done it Xmas eve after a couple of drinks; and only another hour to clean up the fine coating of icing sugar which is everywhere. Few presents to wrap tonight then I am done (and dusted - see above).
May not be on here for a few days, or only dipping in, so hope everyone has whatever they wish for and that those facing difficult times find some space to be still for a while.
Whatever you are all doing - enjoy!:rudolf:0 -
What a lovely, lovely post, dreaming, you is da grannie! I can't believe you know all the words to Gangsta's (gangstas'?) paradise. I can't even hear them; New York accents are not particularly articulate, imho. Give me diction or give me subtitles! Impressed, much.0
