I don't think pay plan will monitor your current account AC. There is also no reason why you cannot self manage your dmp and offer F and F offers once you have completion monies.
I personally think in view of your financial situation paying for a cleaning company is not needed unless they are going to wait for their money. Just run the hoover round and clean the bathroom and kitchen in the normal way. Cleaning windows seems a bit over the top. Almost every house we have moved into has needed cleaning so I don't think it is common to get professional cleaners in when you are selling.
There seems to be a lot of coming and going to Poole planned. Can you afford that? I would be tempted to get a lift down with removal company and perhaps stay overnight somewhere if you cannot get into your studio flat a day early.
This time next week you will be overlooking Poole quay
Why don't you order a 24 hour skip for rubbish and prevail on your brother one last time for funds to pay for it. You need to put him top of the list for paying back once you have your money.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Not today Wendy. Fired up .
Just taking a slight breather . Just dismantled a glass display cabinet.
Put a lot of hangers in fitted wardrobes for buyers . Through lots away .
I'm taking a large boxful. That's what's taken so long .
Most of the living room and two bedrooms are done . Kitchen ?not yet.
Just been to the loft for gig bags for basses. Need to wrap one in bubble wrap .
Slowly getting there0 -
Thanks again. Regarding the solicitor . As I say , the account I asked him to pay the money into , is not my current account where all my direct debits
are taken each month. Not sure if it's a problem. I use it all the time anyway.
I think now is the time to forget about the unreliable brother and his friend.
Regarding council collections: they won't go into the property ,only outside.
I'm better off taking as much stuff as I can on weds with the proper removal men. We'll see .
Now I must carry on0 -
Glad to see that things are going in the right direction.
With regards to the F and F would you have to do an expenditure sheet? I can't imagine many firms would agree if they saw you had nearly a quarter of a million in the bank.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220 -

Ideally the best way to do it would be once AC had found somewhere to buy and allocated funds for this and costs and pointed out he no longer has a job so no income coming in.
As I understand it the dmp review is not until next year so he has some time to sort this out. He will also have paid off his mortgage and secured lending plus his brother etc so the equity will have reduced. He will need to fill out expenditure details for the next dmp review but depending on the amount and length of debt outstanding he may get them to accept say 50-75% as a F and F offer once his house purchase is sorted. I am not sure if they ask for bank statements but they may once they realise he has moved and ask him to account for sale proceeds.
All that can be sorted next year though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Actually Smodlet it's glorious here.:rotfl: Not exactly tropical of course but a nice crisp autumn day. My favourite weather. I wore a nice warm poncho and gloves and went for a walk in the Park. I now have nice rosy cheeks and a healthy glow.
.
Called in the little shop. Bought the last half price pheasant, so that's dinner sorted.
AC next week you will be taking a morning stroll round Poole harbour, breathing in lungs full of that glorious healthy sea air, working up an appetite for a good hearty lunch in a nice cafe overlooking the harbour. Bliss.
Just hold on to that thought, see it, feel it, taste it in your minds eye to get you through the next few days.
Frankly......stuff your useless waste of space of a brother. Borrow a bit more from your helpful brother and hire a Skip and have done. Just make sure you pay him back immediately. He's family, he has first call.
£250 to clean an empty two bed flat. Daylight robbery. It's two hours work, if that. That's more than a full day's work for a gas safety engineer.
£15 an hour here top whack. Ok double it for London rates. Dad's cleaner charges £10.
A one off clean, even with an agency and paying London rates should not come anywhere near £250. And no they don't include the outside windows in that quote, maybe the inside if you're lucky.
Enthusiasticsaver is right. If it's going to cost that much then just go the DIY route. It's so easily done when it's empty.
Yes I can't see the point of all that travelling between Twickenham and Poole either. You will be exhausted and I can't see it being any cheaper. It seems like a pointless waste of time, energy and money. Why not get all your business in London done first and then move down when it's all wrapped up.
Do you actually need to be in Poole to receive your goods if it's all going into storage.
Can your useless brother not house you for a couple of nights if needs be. He owes you that much. Surely you have a friend with a sofa, failing that book into a Travelodge or Days Inn or similar. Ok not on a par with the Dorchester but it's only a couple of nights.
I have done Several long distance moves, once with two babies under the age of 4 and my husband working away on business. You just need to be logical and systematic. Lists, lists, lists.
Just make sure that you Can access anything you are going to need in the short term. Make sure it is boxed and labelled separately and kept "to the front" of the storage unit.
You are panicking, overthinking and overcomplicating matters.
The others are right, you need a nap and then maybe you will be calmer and able to think more rationally. As it is it sounds like you are running around like a headless chicken, exhausted and yet unable to sleep.
If you are not careful you will make yourself ill.
Moneywise leave your bank accounts as they are for the moment. The arrangements you gave made with your solicitor are fine. It's far to near completion to start messing around. Don't muddy the waters and cause confusion. The letting agents will also need to run financial checks so don't start making changes now.
When funds are cleared, all debts paid and you are settled in to your rental then you can do a financial review and start switching bank accounts but for now leave well alone.0 -
Ps. Ok Time for me to brag a little......
My healthy eating and exercise regime has paid off. My blood sugars are normal again. I am no longer even pre diabetic.:D
I saw what diabetes did to my mum so when My doctor told me I had crept into the full blown diabetes range I was adamant I would stop the rot.
What a relief......
AC. Just think in a couple of weeks you can join a gym, get eating properly and start to reclaim your health. You will feel better in no time.0 -

Excellent LL. You need to pass your healthy eating tips on to AC for his new health and exercise regime to embrace his happy healthy new life. Well done on improving your health by so much. Are you just doing low sugar, healthy eating or following a diet plan?
I too have not touched cake or biscuits for just over a month now. Getting healthy for ChristmasI have just tucked into a salad with hummus as trying to counter the bad effects of the 3 glasses of wine and too many sausage rolls etc eaten at a friends on Friday night. I hate buffets as there is usually very little healthy stuff there and drinking wine makes me hungry.

Well done, LL. What's next, running a marathon?
Well, a dignified walking of a marathon, perhaps. And why not?

You'll do it enthusuasticsaver..
Yes buffets are the worst for eating out - they are usually just a carb fest. And to be honest whenever I have had to partake I end up starving an hour later so usually have to eat again, either stopping at the chippy or going for a late night meal at an Indian restaurant.
So a double whammy.....:rotfl:
Re what I eat....
Basically I just slashed the carbs and increased the protein. I eat Paleo style.......(as in paleoithic man, or caveman or Stoneage man)
So meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. Technically you shouldn't include dairy but I do. You shouldnt have caffeine but I still drink tea and coffee. There is no way I will forfeit my real coffee. :rotfl:
To get the blood sugars down I did reduce the amount of dairy (lactose contains sugars) and stopped eating anything starchy....potatoes, rice etc. I also stopped drinking wine (sugars). I substituted xylitol for sugar. Expensive but worth it. It tastes just like sugar without the nasty aftertaste of stevia. (The only two sweeteners that are diabetic friendly)
It sounds horribly restrictive but actually it's a great way of eating. You just need to get your head round it and be prepared to experiment a little.
I add lots of herbs and spices and I still make nice tasty sauces and dressings. You can still cook with oils and butter and cream, and I still add a slug of something alcoholic to sauces and gravies etc.
I am teaching myself Paleo style baking and how to make healthier puddings and deserts, using coconut, peanut and almond flours so hopefully I will be able to have a few biscuit and cake treats and not rock the boat and send the blood sugars out of kilter again.
AC the best place to start is to cut out the junk and start eating proper regular meals. Three square meals a day and a couple of healthy snacks as required. Once you've got back into a better pattern of eating and not skipping meals then you can start thinking about actual content, reducing portions etc.0
