Hi again AC (Soon to be: Arriving Coast)
Been away on hols for a short while, and away from forum much longer ....
Just popped back, to find you've finished the London job and will be on your way to Poole this week! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
So glad you've found the determination, and had the support you needed from folks here to get you through the stress of it all.
Your new life is starting ... Wishing you all the best!
[Was very tempted not to come back from Northern Spain .... Am so energised when I'm there. But caught a cold on the last day; haven't had one for over a year, but obviously not immune to Catalan germs! Now back home, feeling miserable and lethargic, getting further behind on things that need doing ... Never mind, will be OK in a couple of days ... I hope!]
Your news sure cheers me up!!0 -

Thanks Tuesday .Glad you enjoyed Spain.:) a cold is a small price to pay for happiness.
Doubt if I would've done all this without all of you here .
Regarding colds: I tend not to get many . Once I get to the gym, a berroca first thing every morning will be back on the agenda.
IMHO , if you're not a smoker , and take one every day, it makes you robust against everyday crap.0 -
Regarding professional clean: any idea of cost?
I may have one of the many leaflets I haven't chucked away.
I got into a rut sometimes , leaving all those flyers on the floor for a week.
Getting out of that habit .0 -
If you google professional flat clean Twickenham there are several. Don't use an 'end of tenancy' service cos they will charge more on the assumption that they will be dealing with more than ordinary domestic cleaning.0

Went to bed around 10 pm. Fell asleep, until 12.30 am .
Now I am worrying... Will I get everything packed in time? Will I get a rubbish run done by my brothers friend? If not, then how am I gonna get stuff chucked? Why no contact from anyone yesterday?
Something has sprung to mind. Maybe I'll have to,take everything with me to storage in Poole , and get a man and a van to dispose of stuff I don't want once I'm settled .
Later on this morning, I think will be the busiest day of my life .
Trying not to dance in the loft , like balloo the bear and avoiding falling through the ceiling will be a challenge in itself .
Sod it! I can do his0 -
There is a cleaning company approx 10 mins walk from where I live.
' from £250' .Thats for the ,end of tenancy thing, which is what's really required.'
I would imagine the Windows will also be cleaned for this price.
Seeing as they are so near, I could ask them to pop round and give me a quote .
One good thing about my property , is that I have a parking space.
I used my head for once, before I was admitted to hospital last Feb.
I paid for a collapsible bollard to be installed. No vultures allowed.0 -
One more thing to think about..transfer of funds to my account on completion.
As I am on a dmp, I asked for funds to be transferred to my nationwide flex account savings..Not my normal nationwide account.
They are both called flex accounts ,and the cards are identical.
Hopefully , my solicitor won't think I'm money laundering .
I don't know whether, I should get him to transfer funds into my current account , where most of my direct debits come from.
I thought that if Payplan saw it, they'd take all the Money owing.
My overactive mind needs to rest ..0 -
So , it's rememberance Sunday . On Thursday , one of my friends pulled my poppy off my coat, while drunk. Today ,my home resembles a bombsite
and I forgot to put the spare one on my coat .
Feeling dreadful ,about an hours sleep .
I'm having probably my last cafe Nero in twickenham .This in spite of my card being declined .
Things are not getting any better .
I have a huge job ahead of me ,which really has to be done by the end of the day .
I may call my solicitor to ask him to transfer the funds into my current account . He may call me . I don't know anymore .0 -
I suggest a short nap. Call it a Power Nap, then list what you absolutely have to get done today. Tomorrow is, as they say, another day.0

AC, breathe. I seriously doubt your solicitor works on a Sunday. If you have to pack a certain amount by a certain time, just do it! If you need to take frequent breaks, do so.
I thought you had to get your funds transferred into an account PayPlan can't see so why don't you open another one with Not-the-Nationwide? You might be able to do this online. Why not do this in one of your breaks and pick one that pays you to bank with it? Sorry if I'm missing something, I admit I know nothing about DMPs.
If you are going to rely on unreliable people who don't return your calls, you will be let down. Just call the council tomorrow/book a bulky waste collection online today and pay them. They will probably charge less than your brother's friend and are more likely to show up when they say they will. Gods, I should think I could get this crappy, little, no-account council to do that and you're in London, fgs. This place might as well be Outer Mongolia by comparison.
There is little sense in paying to remove "rubbish", paying more to store it then yet more to get rid of it. I don't suppose your removal firm do rubbish disposal as a sideline???
In another of your breaks from packing, why not read the first few pages of this thread? See how far you have come and how much you have achieved since you began it. Reflect on all the things you have managed to do that you did not believe you could... then get on with your bloody packing!
This was intended to be a pep talk, which is not something I am good at so, if shooting me down in flames makes you feel better, go for it. Maybe LL will be along with a proper one in a bit. She is probably gardening as the sun is blazing here, what with Derbyshire being a Tropical Paradise compared to this place, apparently.
ETA: Not wearing a poppy is not against the law, it is a matter of individual choice, after all.0
