Evening all :hello:
.............
I have envelopes for all the different budgets each month such as petrol, groceries, wine etc. I have the total amount allocated to each category written on the top of the envelope.
..................
Hope you all have a money-making last Monday of the month
Lx
Have you tried nmaking your own wine ? With sugar at 39p a kg at Lidl - you can knock out a gallon of wimne for a couple of quid !
Recipe - I Litre Lidl red (or white) grape juice - ! l Lidl apple juice - 1 kg sugar - 1 sachet or 1 tsp "wine yeast" - and a 5L empty " Spring water" container from Iceland (£1) - a bit of plastic bag and a rubber band (edit 2 - not very tight) to hold it in place as a makeshift "pressure relief valve" in place of the lid - you can knock out a vin de table of reasonably pleasing taste for that sort of money !
Edit - pour all into the empty water container and top up to about 2" fron the neck with water just less that "hand tepid" - then leave it sit somewhere fairly warm (behind the sofa ! ) until it clears and syphon into bottles or pour carefully !0 -
Oooo It seems I've made $73 on via Amazon sales this month - wont actually count it until the cash lands in my account.Your biggest asset is TIME! I'm focused on multi-generational financial freedom.0

omg I am in love! I never knew those existed! I use one I got from wilkos but it is very big, and doesn't fit in handbag. So have to carry it around in carrier bag. I also have smaller wallet things that are just plain envelope style plastic wallets. forever losing my stuff as i hide everything from DH.
I love that! will need to start making some amazon vouchers to buy it.
thank you! :A
Not the cheapest but isn't it fab! It was the shopping list and pen that didit for me. Damn shame I'm not more into couponing :rotfl:MSE-ing since 20070 -

Nicky_sue - I like things like files and folders for storing bits of paperwork, plus jars and cookware from the pound shop (obviously these are no good if you're not into cooking) as my mse gifts. And you can never have enough pens (although that might be the teacher in me speaking).
I've added some filing stuff (I have a home office, you'd think I'd have enough but hen do we ever have enough storage?) and I need some more tubs and bits for batch cooking and your post reminded me of that so thanks! And pens? I swear people in this house eat them!MSE-ing since 20070 -

I have to walk 6.5 miles  to collect something from the PO sorting office today. Customs charge on an xmas pressie from US for £13.43 arrived on the 9th but couldn't pay until Friday but cos they only keep it until today (21 days) they wouldn't redeliver it because they "need 2 working days from payment, within 21 day limit"
The area sorting office is 3.2 miles away...
Also £13.43 charge on a £20 item is taking the p***Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100
