and I'm thinking of MSE friendly gifts (not money, vouchers etc). Things to help me stay organised, save in 2016 etc.
    Any ideas?
My first thought was of a poor man's terramundi i.e. a pound saving tin.
    What do you think?

Great question, Nicki_Sue, I'll be very interested in people's ideas to get more organised:T

If you want to be really MSE don't waste money on buying a savings tin. There are lots of suitable containers you can use instead of buying anything;). You can always cut a slot in the top, seal it and decorate it if you want.

Pop over to the Sealed Pot Challenge if you aren't already a member, there are lots of savings 'pots' mentioned on there.

    Thanks Carbootcrazy.

I can do pretty much anything on nothing i.e. I don't need a budget book or similar, I could make do with a plain notebook but we've saved a certain amount to spend on each other once we've finished with the boys' gifts so we'll splash out on the cheap stuff. 2016 is going to be a major frugal year as we have big goals so while my bought gifts might be aimed at helping towards 2016 but they'll be pretty :rotfl:

I use a Filofax but could do with a budget book / diary of its own to track challenge income (tenner a day obv.), income, outgoings, spending etc so that's a good call - thanks.

I was going to suggest a good/big diary. I prefer a paper diary to using the one on my phone/computer. We used to receive loads of promotional ones from suppliers at work, but companies don't seem to send them as much any more :(

I find it much easier to have a paper diary - at the start of the year I go through and write in key dates, e.g. car insurance renewal, MOT test due, special deals on savings accounts/credit cards running out etc. Plus birthdays, etc. Then I scan through it each weekend to see what I've got to deal with over the next few weeks.

I've been using a section in my Filofax as I agree, writing it all down makes it all much easier to see but the finance section in there has got too big so definitely a budget book / diary or similar.

I'm another one who loves a good, big desk diary:j

Electronic/online means have their benefits and I try to use them but writing things down seems so much more helpful and immediate somehow;)

well done but will say GH have the WORST customer service unlike swagbucks.

they never credit for tickets, they are rude and dont care.

Yeah that is definitely the impression I got from them to be honest, I don't think they had anything to do with it crediting I think it was just delayed haven't had another reply saying it is done or anything.

Cashing out my Qmee in a desperate attempt to get my target so another £6.11 added, so £427.62

    Coupon wallet Aesop?

omg I am in love! I never knew those existed! I use one I got from wilkos but it is very big, and doesn't fit in handbag. So have to carry it around in carrier bag. I also have smaller wallet things that are just plain envelope style plastic wallets. forever losing my stuff as i hide everything from DH.

I love that! will need to start making some amazon vouchers to buy it.

    thank you! :A
