Can I please just express caution about using a non door to door service, you will only get paypal seller protection if the buyer checks out via paypal and puts the collect plus shop address as the delivery address. Paypal are quite clear about seller protection, for an INR claim item must track to the address given by paypal as being 'ok to send to'. For a claim for fraudulent use of a card then POP is needed, but again clearly showing the paypal address. Obviously if you manage to get to the buyers t get them to change their address before they pay then that's fine.
Also, watch the RM size restrictions on the £2.80 small parcel rate.
There is a sticky postage thread on the ebay board that explains about paypal seller protection.
Thanks for that soolin, I suppose the same cautionary note applies to the ebay sposored "Argos to Argos" delivery situation too ?
I think if Paypal decided to refund the punter - when I had a confirmation that he had collected it from "His shop" - I'd be annoyed in the extreme and would probably sue him / her in the small claims court !:rotfl:
On the other hand the C+ fee includes £50 "cover" - but I dunno, what sort of mentality would it take to collect the kit then say it wasn't delivered ?0 -
Just cashed out my Qmee account and my Quidco account and netted £3.94 and £65.32 respectively.

The Argos click and collect is fine as the ebay system is set up so that buyer chooses the Argos address when they check out. I have a lot of Argos items and the paypal address shows Argos- and when I print my labels either through ebay/paypal or drop and go it automatically prints the Argos address and the unique code- so I am covered.
The majority of buyers are absolutely fine- however advertising the fact that you are relinquishing seller protection might just attract a scammer who sees goods for free. As for small claims, I'm not sure how that would help as UK law requires a seller to prove that an item has been delivered to the correct address- and the correct address in this case would be the paypal one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Well done, everyone. Keep at it:T
Money in bank account from Amazon, £8.86 profit. Nothing else to declare but I've reached my target and am now on £301.05:j
Still having problems with the Music Magpie website, or at least I still was last night:(. Was getting very frustrated so gave it up and will try one last time tonight to get a consignment accepted. All my CDs have been given a good price and the list is saved in my account but the website won't process the 'trade'. Just get an error message that the website is closed for upgrading. Anyone else having problems?
Scottish Power have reduced my DD by £10 a month for the next year so I'm pleased with that. Not money made as such but it's cheered me up:j0 -

Nice! Mine got reduced from £71 to £49 (I started out at £35 but heating the flat last winter tripled my usage so I had to more than double my DD to cover the excess. I guess £49 is nice middle ground now but it's a relief to not be paying 70 for a 1-bed flat  )
Just blagged myself 248 free clubcard points with Tesco. Years ago I applied for a card but never got sent the proper one (using the temp paper one) and then forgot about it.
Applied for a new one and got it in the post but couldn't access the online account. Support couldn't find a trace of the old one and didn't know why the new one wouldn't let me in (since it's linked).
Changed email address in case that was the issue - they've been having problems with Yahoo recently - but then couldn't access account at all and password reset email never arrived.
So she's deleted my old account entirely and told me to re-register in 24hr and given me 248 points for the hassle (+ 2 points from popping in for a sandwich yesterday).
That's worth £2.50 in vouchers some dayAqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100
