    Hi all

Still plodding along here. I'm stuck on the quidco comp today. The red star - I know I know it but just can't think what it is. Know I'm going to go 'doh' when I finally got it!

Will be eternally grateful to whoever can put me out of my misery!

    Thanks

    Sharon

Sorry, Sharon, can't help as I'm not doing it but I empathise with the frustration of just not 'getting' a clue:(. I've been slogging through a fiendish book titles comp and I eventually got 19 right out of the 20 (they tell you as you go along if the answers are right before the final entry gets submitted) but the last one was driving me nuts. Had a eureka moment about midnight last night, I was euphoric:rotfl:

are you signred upto opinion world as well? vaguely remember someone on facebook goit same message. maybe Jenny remembers what happened. I will have to have a look on pc later.

No, just Opinion Outpost (which I think is a subsidiary of Opinion World maybe? Since the message said 'opinion world t&cs' or something)

V bizarre. Whatever though, I'd already cashed out all my points.

    Thanks Aesop.

Carbootcrazy - I too had a eureka moment just before midnight. The answer was cineworld but I got confused and searched for it on topcashback and couldn't understand why it wasn't working. I realised dead on midnight that I was on the wrong sight DOH!

When I got roquidco the clues had changed to today's. Ah well, not the enf of the world - just frustrating.

Off to work now. Have a good day everyone

  • Glad you had a good day with your friend, Aesop:T. We missed you on here, though:(.

I'm sorry about your technology issues, it must be a real pain and frustration to you as you rely on your various devices so much. Here's hoping you get things running smoothly again very soon so lots of lovely money can be made:beer:

The laptop cooling stand I bought on eBay came yesterday and is already in service:T. A nice cheap solution, I'm up for that;). Thanks so much for the link Aesop and the recommendation Lynne:A. I have very little in the way of devices so miss out in many ways but I don't have the worry and frustration when they go wrong. I only do things that I can do on the laptop. I'm not wanting to do much when out and about anyway so I don't need much/any mobile technology. Couldn't afford it anyway:o

    Have a good day ,all:beer:

unfortunately for me technology is what helps me make money and until I can find a salaried job it is the extra money I need to survive.

the battery on my laptop needs replacing but I can't afford to do that either,so have to keep plugging my laptop in which isn't always convenient.

and it is nice to be able to sell on ebay while out and about and check progress on sales :)

in other news I got a letter from "an8uis bank yesterday in response to a complaint about missold CPP.

I have deliberately hidden the name for those who think what? you can probably work out who it is but it stops it showing up on searches hence the reason we use names like tosco and sainsbob and sada.

so they listened the phone call that was made to me on a certain date , watchout folks, they are getting wise! and I agreed to take out the CPP but they feel from listening to the call that i had misunderstood the purpose of the product and had agreed to take it out thinking it was something else, when it is in fact something different.:rotfl:

anyhoo... have agreed to refund the payments made with interest :T

bad news. they have credited the account that I no longer have :rotfl: I so hope they send me a cheque for it... it was for £334.xx

am on a facebook forum and loads are putting in for bank charges and getting them back. seen a post today for £600 refunded in 2 days! unfortunately they are having to use it for something sad tht has happened but it will definitely have come at a good time for them to be able to use it. just a shame they can't use it for happier circumstances.

so once again I will say it, anyone with bank charges, ppi, get claiming now! before the banks stop saying yes. And i know some are very hard to work with like s"ntander and l*oy*s as they like to say no off the bat. but it's worth keep going or even goto the ombudsman.
