carbootcrazy wrote: ».............. This is a rural area, the car boot sales round here are fairly small and the customers don't want to pay much. It's a case of getting whatever I can just to clear the clutter in lots of cases. Run of the mill paperback novels which were very popular so there are zillions in circulation won't go for more than 40p a time round here I'm afraid. May well be different where you are..............
Yes, I'm suburban with a high "EU" population and a good few refugees etc - so perhaps a little less Idyllic that yours - however I don't actually have any fiction books except for All of the "Shades of gray" and many of the Short story "Archer books" - Oh and some "EE Doc Smiths" I picked up the other day for a couple of quid - but they are Sooo dated - I loved them first time around - lol !
HAving said that I bet I have 3,000 books - on pretty much every conceiveable subject - for example I have this one -

in immaculate condition !
but I wouldn't really "car boot" that ;o)
It would in many ways be nice to be "Book free" -
Been a pretty quiet day here - sold £6 after fees and had a wonderful "Offer" of £21 on a £35 item which will be a pain to package ! - I told them to auto reject anything under £330 -

Definitely do not car boot that one, it would be a nightmare trying to explain why they can't have it for 50p lol hold out for a good sale if you are to sell it.Total Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)

My expensive item sold for much more than I expected on ebay so I have £220 after fees to add. I am so chuffed as this month was looking like a bit of a disaster. I have managed to not increase my debt for 3 months and it was looking like this month would be an increase but I will put this straight on the credit card and hopefully we will have another month of decreasing debt
as long as nothing else creeps up as things seems to be crashing down one after another at the moment, but I am determined to not reduce our debt even if it is just a little bit a month.
So my total for the month so far is £287.74 I will increase my target to £15 a month to keep me motivated, so £450 xTotal Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)

Got to stay positive, I think feeling negative about the whole situation has made it worse in the past. You get to the stage where you think 'well I'm never going to pay this off so what's another £20 here and there going to hurt' but no more. We want to buy a house eventually and it's not going to happen until we clear the debt so we can start saving. I've finally got the hubby on board as well which helps he's been in denial for a few years but finally gets it xTotal Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)

Morning
Nothing to report again here. Still plugging away so hopefully have something to add soon. I did use the £10 Amazon promo code I got from buying gift cards in September but I think I added that when I got it.
Well done on your Ebay sale Shellyosborne. I have a couple of codes for gift hulk if you want to swap. I used to post them on gift hulk page on here but got a bit fed up that the same people always took them and I was never quick enough to get any back. I'm not very good at keeping up with gift hulk these days.
Think I need a money making/saving day today. Will report back later!

Hi. I have been off track as DS1 had an emergency operation on Tuesday. He is only nine
he is home now so planning an eb@y day. I managed a £22 refund on a return, £50 amazon voucher for buying home insurance, £90 cash from sales on f@ceb@@k. I may even get chance to catch up on the thread! It has moved so fast this week! Well done on some of the totals I have seen. Awesome work.

Massive congratulations to everyone who has made any money lately:beer:
Hugs and commiserations to everyone who is ill themselves or worrying about a loved one who is:kisses3:
My washing machine has died (would happen when I've a [STRIKE]pile[/STRIKE] mountain of washing for OH that he insists is urgent although I can't for the life of me see why:eek:). Was only a few days ago that we were sympathising with your washing machine troubles, Aesop. There must be an epidemic.More expense when I least want it:(
On the plus side, the £100 from the instant lottery win hit my bank yesterday:j. Managed to access an old Post Office Saver account to see if it's still in existence (not classed as dormant) and I was pleased to see there's £4.97 in there:). Used to use it a lot for paying in car boot cash over the counter (keeping it separate from my main bank account and having instant access to it). My main bank doesn't have an actual branch nearer than 15 miles away (I rely on internet banking for most things) but sometimes I have cash to deposit and the PO was more convenient.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone:beer:0 -
I reckon it is an epidemic, CBC. Mine died about 6 weeks ago but I live in a rented flat so it was landlord's obligation to replace (small mercies), although it took 4 weeks. Imagine the size of my laundry pile :rotfl:
It didn't even need replacing, it would have been a quick 5-min repair but she insisted on a new one rather than fixing it so...Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100
