Hi,
Please can someone help advise.
My manager is going on business for a week to America.
She has an Iphone 5 currently with 02 business however we are changing to EE business.
We were advised that it is cheaper to purchase a PAYG handset with a local sim card to use over there.
However my manager requires access to Social Media websites and internet more than making calls. She will be wanting to use it frequently.
Please can anyone help?0 -
This is has been discussed several times. Once they get to the USA they can get a sim/phone pack at walmart, radio shack, best buy, etc. And just add the needed data. If her phone is unlocked, then she can just get a sim. She can also walk into AT&T or Tmobile store to get what she needs, She needs to visit their respective websites to see what kind of data plan is suitable for her.Hi,

Hi
Wonder if anyone can help me.
I will soon be doing a job which involves me travelling all over Europe and making calls internally as well as back to the UK. I do get some budget for this but not a lot. What would be the best payg option for this?
Also is there any decent romaning packages for an ipad to use mobile data in Europe?0 -
For casual visits to the US a "3" PAYG SIM on 3 2 1 and a data "Add On" seems the best bet. It can be set up and tested before departure and the cost is known.0

Hi my son is off to South Africa at the end of June, and although he has a pay monthly contract, this doesn't give him any useage abroad and its quite expensive to send and receive texts. Anyone used the roaming cards?0

Receiving texts (except premium ones) is free everywhere.
See this thread for some local options: Massive O2 bill from holiday
In other countries I used Traveltalk sim. It's sort of call back system. It's free to receive calls and I see just 12p/min to call from SA to UK, but it's not compatible with some most basic phones and you can only receive texts, not send them.0 -

I would suggest using a Sainsburys Mobile sim and voipclient app. Calls should be no more than 10p per min and sms 2p
