I'm up and everyone else is still snoring :rotfl:

I'm glad we had a day off yesterday as we spent the entire day out and about. Went to a huge designer outlet near Chester where DH spent all our life savings, had a lovely lunch at Wagamama's, stepkids had never been to one before (OMG - an actual new experience for them - how rare, spoilt brats!) then had the afternoon at an ice cream farm with a huge soft play area. DH's cousin, GF and baby joined us at the ice cream farm, then cooked us dinner!

Only downside was that during the horseplay in the softplay, DH managed to bend his thumbnail right back and rip it quite badly. Badly enough for me to faint when he showed me, which was rather embarrassing in front of a packed barn :(

Anyway, enjoying the peace and quiet ATM. Yesterday clearly wore everyone out...

That is SERIOUS flying - cleaning UNDER the bath!
Lol I'm not normally that through but I'm playing the mins game so every item I can find to clear out counts. Plus if Dh gets a bonus at Christmas and we save some up as well the plan is to finally get a new bathroom next year we've already been to look for ideas and get prices. That's why I've been so happy with all the extra work I've been getting. There is a little door in one end of the bath panel I use it to keep s few cleaning products in the but over the years other stuff has been added like a bottle brush and nets to catch your goldfish in :rotfl: I delved deeper and found the builders stash. Wonder if anything else will be uncovered when the bath finally comes out.

Love the pressie for Ds bossy I'm certain he will too.

Dizzy I'm out all day so don't think I'm ignoring your pm, I'll get it to you as soon as I can certainly before Christmas. Ouch to your poor Dh I bet that really hurt.

    Have a good day all

    Morning all.

Had a great day out with DGD1+2 yesterday, including a pumpkin trail and lots of puddle jumping (me too!); took them home before it got dark, then came back here, cooked the rest of a yummy meal and shared it with a new friend who has recently moved into this area. The three of us sat and talked until late, so I allowed myself to sleep in until 8.00 this morning :)

mrs-mp, I know exactly what you mean about things appearing in unexpected places - it happened to us in our last house, where non-matching tiles were also involved - but this one was gutted so thoroughly when we first moved in that I think I know exactly what is in every little cubby hole. Having said that, the utility (with lots of gardening stuff) and the bedroom loft space (with most of the family history papers) are my RoDs and need to be tackled at some point over the coming year, but having gone a long way to getting the study bedroom properly organised, I'm not beating myself up about them atm.

Very sorry you missed your theatre trip, CY. Hope you are feeling OK this week.
    Juliejim, what a result!
Bossy, big congratulations to Little Miss Moo on her rosettes :j - and I'm sure Master Moo will be thrilled with that present.
    Owwweeee! to DizzyImp's DH
Well done on the garage clearance, Frizzle. When is this baby due? I'm sure by now you should be putting your feet up more frequently...
LW, I had a dream a couple of nights ago about a tall dark handsome man (not anyone I've ever met) wearing a pink elephant T-shirt :rotfl:

Thank you Natty for offering to organise the Flylady cards (for anyone who missed the announcement, it's at the bottom of the first post).
I'd be very happy to organise the Secret Santa, if that helps, but if anybody else is already on the ball, don't let me stop you. If nobody else offers in the meantime, I'll post the instructions tomorrow morning.

    My list for today:
    - S&S kitchen
    - fold and put away washing that is currently draped round the bathroom, then S&S bathroom
    - update a document
    - send about 6 emails
    - drink coffee with another friend
    - sort boxes, still not done from last Saturday
    - make materials for taster session
    - eat leftovers
    - take DH to play on the railway (ghost train tonight)
    - go back later to choir practice and pick up DH afterwards

Catch up later! (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round x

Well the refund was mainly because of the solar panels we had fitted last year so pleased with that - they were obviously worth having.

I've wrapped a few Chrimbo presents this morning and I'm just about to hoover the LR. I have friends coming over this morning and DD has a couple of appointments this afternoon so I'll probably have an hour between appointments to get some stuff done. The bed has already been changed this week so that's one job off the list anyway.

    Have a good day all

    Morning!

No wifi here so I'm on my phone. Just sorted a bag for CS, sorted some recycling, more laundry and sorted my DR.

I have a fabulous non edible cake topper that I've no idea what to do with. I had it made for FIL 70th so it's quite a specific design. Do I ditch it or try to find someone who is making a cake for a 70yr old golfer???

I'm onto the garage now - send in the search party to feed the kids if I'm not back by lunchtime

I would have thought that was definitely the sort of thing that people might look for on eeebaaay ;)

    So far:
Clean clothes all folded neatly and put away
    Bathroom and kitchen S&S'd
    One text message sent

Brain not really working properly - I feel decidedly muzzy this morning, even though no alcohol was involved yesterday evening - but perhaps it's just because I'm chilly. I have put on an extra jumper and am drinking coffee :o

Yuck :( I guess so but I hate selling stuff on eBay these days...

Well the garage is just about sorted. Well, the bits you can see. I'm not doing the shelves and under the counter. But, we can get to the boiler cupboard so that's the main thing.

Not a lot else done. DS is not himself. Hoping it's just tiredness but he says his tummy is hot. He's barely moved today. Still in pjs. Checked his temperature and that's ok. He said it doesn't hurt, it's just hot and he's lethargic.

Just going to listen to DD reading then I think I'll head upstairs with the vac...

    Bleurgh.

Took DS to the docs as he was struggling to breathe. She gave him a clean bill of health, but asked us to do a urine sample before we leave. I sat him down in reception to go ask for a bottle and the breathing thing happened again. Then he hurled all over the floor _pale_ they could not have been less helpful. One receptionist peered over, said "ugh" and passed a paper bowl to someone in the queue to give us, and said "you're free to go!"

I'm pretty mad about it actually. I asked if we should go back in and tell the doctor but she said "it's probably just a tummy bug if she's checked him over". I didn't realise receptionists had medical training these days... I'll be putting in a complaint when he's better. God only knows if they even cleaned it up, I figured we were better off out of there and I'll call the out of hours centre if anything else happens. Bl00dy NHS.

Anyway, he's on the sofa with towels and a bucket, a ban on food for the rest of the day, and a big cup of water to sip.

Typical that I've just stripped his bed... How much to bet I'll be doing that again in the night! Poor DS.

Ooh, spooky..... Mr LW is 5'10", still has dark hair (lucky bu88er) and of course I think he's handsome.:D

Harriet the Golden Cocker Spaniel has arrived. She's on nearly as many meds as I am - four different meds; three tablets at 07:00, another three at 17:00, and one more at 19:00. I've got out some of Mr LW's empty film containers and will put out her daily doses the same way I do ours, to ensure she gets what she needs.:o She's taken her 17:00 meds without incident, so I don't think we'll have any problem getting them into her.:T

ETA Bossy you posted while I was typing; that is disgraceful. Quite part from anything else, there must be health'n'safety rules that say if a patient is "poorly" in there, they should have a standard operating procedure to clean up and comfort the patient. And presumably the sample the Dr asked for wasn't done.
I hope that's the end of it for the poor little chap.
