I was with you as I was changing the linings in the lounge curtains, only been meaning to do that for two years that's at least how long the new linings have been waiting in the cupboard. Old linings now in the rag collection bag.
Just had a letter from gift aid the tat we've donated recently has raised the local CS just over £157. Really pleased as I was a bit embarrassed that some of it wasn't worth giving to them and maybe I was just giving them junk. No wonder the lady always looks so pleased when we go in with bagful. Got another one filling up ready to take.SPC~12 ot 124

Thanks Biscuit, I hoovered most of downstairs, changed the hoover bag, shook the sofa throws outside. Fed the birds, washed up and scooped out a pumpkin, thought keeping it outside was a good idea, it wasn't, it has rotted but I think now it's scooped out and dried it may last until Saturday.
Having a cuppa now and then I'm doing another HHC downstairs at 11:45 if anybody wants to join meThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Oh dear. Just checked the weather forecast and the rain is here to stay
I had planned on sorting the garden as my storage boxes weren't closed properly and the wooden chairs were rained on. The boxes need hosing down and a bright day to dry off in. Not happening this week...
I shall focus on the garage instead, tomorrow. My BG home/care boiler service is being done on Friday morning (thanks to piggers for the tip - I thought my boiler would be too old for cover!). So we need access to the cupboard and in any case I could really do with sorting that end of the room. My office end isn't too bad.
Except - this has just been delivered early from Santa for DS  he's going to wet himself when he sees it, lol, which mustn't be until the day itself. So I'm going to pop it in the boot of the car and cover with a blanket until I can get it to my mums. She said she'd provided accommodation for it - we will need to ensure the kids don't see!
DD also has a karaoke machineI may or may not have tested out the Frozen disc it came with :rotfl:
Oh dear. I think I've spent up. But if I'm going to spend, it might as well be on something awesome, yes?
Yikes...Bossymoo

I'm still working through the kitchen lists so aprechiate the extra time being given natty.
Work done, couple of phone calls made, Dh has a bit of running round to do over the weekend that involve swapping settees between two of the DDs followed by a tip run. There's some more stuff at his mums that needs shifting but don't think that will be this weekend.
He just rang the dentist to confirm tomorrow's appt after they cancelled last weeks to be told it's not till end of Nov as they are really busy! They told I'm next Thursday when they rang to cancel.mlucky he rang and didn't just turn up. He'll need to change his day off as well now so he wasn't too happy.SPC~12 ot 124

Sorting through my cupboards for stuff to CS and I've come across the child's book "Santa is coming to the Welsh valleys" it's in as new condition I bought it for my nephew and niece as there dad ( my bro in law) is of Welsh descent but I never gave it to them as I thought it was a bit young - they are 17 &18 now! If anyone lives in Wales or has a Welsh connection I'd sooner post it to you than give it to the CS as the midland isn't really the right area. Please PM if you want it but post in this thread as well so others know it's going. I don't want anything for it and will happily cover the postage. HthSPC~12 ot 124

What a seemingly unproductive day I've had. Its taken 3 attempts to print the main picture for my window and I've just had to go to Mr A to buy printer ink (£52 :eek:) as the printer stopped working on page 6 of 9 and refused to do anything except cancel the print job due to one of four colours running out. I wouldn't mind but it was a black and white image! So now its getting too late to start painting the window, as sunset is 4.42 today and I still need to cut it all out. So I'm going to get everything organised so that I can paint it tomorrow morning
Then I'll do my newsletters and a bit of flying. Still don't know what time DD is getting home so not sure whether I need to cook tea for 2 or 1. Oh well, off to start sticking these pages together now they're finally printed. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Finished paid stuff and collected small people. They are done in so rather relieved we have a quiet day at home tomorrow, and only a lunch date on Friday.
Have moved the enormous gift into the boot of my car - covered in a blanket. DD stuff hidden in loft.
They had sausage mash and veg at club, and sandwiches for afternoon snack so we are just going to have a light supper this eve. Early to bed again methinks!
Might do another hour of paid stuff later. But just now it's time for a cuppa!Bossymoo

Afternoon all
It's been raining 'cats and dogs' here for hours and so dark and miserable I've just shut all the blinds and curtains at 4.30 and put the heating on !!
Glad your mum's still at home Dusty as that's good news.
Great savings there juliejim and a fantastic £500 refund too :j
nicki - hope your poor sore ribs soon recover and good luck in building your sales back up
Sounds like you're doing well AFB and getting things under control
Well done on the gift aid MrsMP - what a super amount
Wow Bossy - heart the pressie for DS. I want one now :rotfl:
Just cleared out and cleaned the fridge and did freezer shuffle. Trying to get them cleared out and defrosted in the next couple of weeks.
Have dusted all through, emptied and washed the bins and about to descend on the kitchen to finish putting everything away and make some dinner.
Hope you all keeping warm and dry
