Aww poor little thing bossy, I'd be angry about the receptionist as well. Hope he soon settles and you both get a decent night sleep.
Full day in work which went really well, I've just thrown a few Halloween deccys on the front door so the kids can see them walking by to school tomorrow. Slight drawback of living so close to the school I work at all the kids know where I live, it's a dead giveaway when they come calling all costumed up with masks on then blow it by saying " trick or treat Mrs 'money-penny' "
Just fed the lads as they have a youth council meeting so early tea and a DVD in peace tonight for me and Dh while I probs do some cross stitchingSPC~12 ot 124

Hope your DS is better soon x
Another episode with car today. Ticking noise on slipway to motorway. It's dark now so tomorrow I will check tyres and oil etc. Cant help wishing my lovely car hadn't been written off. Had a letter from insurance comp this week saying we may have to go to court over that incident. Should be fun with child care. I wonder if they have a spare cell.
New shoes purchased for ds2 at outlet village. 1xWM, stinky henried ground floor and a nap. I'm a lazy so and so.0 -
You would have thought they would have a biohazard cleaning kit and a procedure; not only to look after Master Bossy but also to protect their vulnerable patients from coming down with sickness bugs which can cause real problems to anyone whose immune system is already compromised.
I have mended my coat.
My magazine has come today (pr1ma, on subscription because it's cheaper) with a red chilli jelly recipe. I have loads of apples. I might do some tandem cooking and save some apple flesh for stewing and use the cores and skin in the jelly. I'm now wondering whether to accept a friend's offer of even more apples.
But first I must source some cider vinegar.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hope young Bossy is OK. I would have been annoyed that they didnt take it more seriously too. DS threw up in the hospital once and they gave OH a mop and bucket!!
Had to take DS1 to meet with someone about voluntary work this morning. I am so proud of how well he did. His possible autism makes it really hard for him to talk to a strangers but he made a huge effort. Whether he manages to actually join the voluntary group is another matter but it feels like a big step forward.
Seem to be a few of us enjoying half term with kids/grandkids and not worrying about flying which is a good thing. Back to it next week I suppose!0 -
That's what I thought - I was directing traffic around it as it was near the entrance and someone could have slipped. And if it is a bug, then yes, hygiene not really up to scratch. We weren't even offered a cup of water. Quite sad really.
Anyway, he's fast asleep, didn't quibble about going to bed, could barely climb up the little ladder.
Hoping for a peaceful sleep and a brighter boy in the morning. Bless him.Bossymoo

Evening all,
No flying here, at my mums. Have decluttered two pies today though, one for lunch at work and one for tea!
Bossy that is appalling. I hope he is feeling better. Our health centre also had a rude receptionist. Maybe it is in the job description.
YL great re DS1, sounds positive.
Day off the paid stuff tomorrow, flying planned x0 -
Busy day, tired now so off to bed with new library book. Taking DS3 to a party in another town tomorrow, may stay over there for a bit and do some shopping or may come home and do paperwork, I'll see how the day takes me.
Bossy hope DS sleeps well and is back to full health tomorrow
YL glad DS1 did so well
Dancemum sorry about the car
WM is on but I don't think I'll wait up for it to finish, should have put it on earlier. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
apples peeled and gently stewed for crumble. Skin and core added to other apples for chilli jelly.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Evening all :hello:
Dizzy - ouch that sounds painful for your poor DH
Bossy - how very rude and uncaring, both for you and your son and also the other patients. Not a nice attitude at all
YL - seems your DS1 is gaining in confidence and hope he gets some results
Dancemum - hope it's something simple with the car
Valli - red chilli jelly sounds rather yummy
Didn't get much done apart from the dailies, a few bits and pieces and the dinner. Did clear the kitchen afterwards though.
I went to town and sorted a couple of things with the bank.
Bought a couple of things on offer in B**ts, lots of things on 3 for 2 and buy one get one half-price atm.
Also signed up for the new card in MnS which seems to be a 'save the points to get offers' card, but I'll have to read the small print
