  • Morning, hope you're feeling better than yesterday. Nothing worse than feeling under the weather - saps so much energy.

RM surveys - always seems a bit hit and miss. We have been rested and unrelated in the same week before now.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

    Thanks all.

Had a carp night - decided yesterday I really couldn't keep on spending so much on cough sweets - thanks patanne I'd been stocking up on 80p for 2 but still that was a few squid most days this week. Anyway, rationally decided surely a jug of water with honey would see me fine through the night, surely basically same thing. Turns out it didn't / isn't:rotfl: Coughed and coughed and wheezed and coughed until I thought if I knew of a delivery/ takewaway that would bring me cough sweets I'd definitely order some at pretty much any price - seriously contemplated going to 24 hour tossco but simply didn't have the energy.

This morning I saw newgirly's top tip and beetled (or the slow equivalent of beetled) to P0undland. Happy days! Can't believe I spent 20 squid but I now have LOTS of cough sweets (most 2 or 3 for a squid, and best of all Str3psils for a squid) plus masses of L3msip supplies. Very un KM to stock up but completely worth it for this :T THANK YOU NEW GIRLY :kisses3:

Very tempted by an apple and cinammon candle but thought of AFK and Stayed Strong. On an unrelated note, some chocolate appears to have found its way into my basket.

Tilly thanks, and you are so right re the energy. I'd like to spend today since I am at home sorting things and had all sorts of plans to channel KC and AFK and do 10-minute-at-a-time paper-taming, but right now all I can manage is a(nother) nana nap. But when I wake up, SHS, I will be g00gling ebac.

Take it easy, wretched when you don't get a great sleep, however nice thought when your snuggled up and eventually nod off. I've one of those fleece blankets if i'm on the couch, much better than dragging the quilt through, and actually saves on the heating bills, snug as a bug ...:A

Glad I could help and save you a pretty penny, well actually a £, it all helps you know.:T

If it makes you feel any better, I haven't managed to get round to my 2nd lot of paperwork, and am sitting starring at it right now.:o

So keep drinking (water - that is::D) although we sometimes swear by heating up some wine or is it Irn Bru.:p

You won't catch me doing it when I'm that ill, believe me! And I have my equivalent of nanna naps, believe me - I got in at midday today, my sister drove us down to the nearest beach to have a look at the waves. I managed a total of 40 minutes on the beach, she drove me back to my door and pootled straight off because she knew I felt ill, and I sat completely still in my TV armchair for about four hours ... and this is when I'm *well*, compared to last winter - I got ill on 14 December, and was really ill for about four months, hence the investigations into CFS.
    Happy Saturdays all!
To you too :kisses3: Let your convalescence build, Holly - you need it.

Aw thanks AFK and KC, lovely messages :kisses3:

Punctuated only by coughing and eating coughsweets/ meds I basically slept round the entire clock and then some. While still by no means great I feel a LOT better than I did yesterday morning, think fever has now gone so all in the right direction:T:T

Feeling slightly sick from the lozenges and chocoate and not much else (AFK - that and wine is what we call the GG school of panacea medication :rotfl:), I've EVEN got some BNS roasting to make some Tilly soup. Steady on ....

Annoyingly I Must Go Out for a couple of things over the next few days, but hoping this will continue. Who knows, I may even get to think about some MFW stuff soon!

  • For the first time in too long a proper(ish) postsmiley-happy005.gif
Still coughing and wheezing but fever gone so feeling much better in myself :T although still a bit cream crackered. Have a couple of commitments over the next few days but around and after those hoping to take it easy to recuperate and catch up … if I felt behind on stuff before the last 10 days, it's waaaaay behind now.

Job centre this morning … it took 40 mins - honestly, 40 mins - for my adviser to find out from colleagues when they are closing for Christmas i.e. when I should next sign on. Then had a work-ish meeting and then home for nana nap.

smiley-chores023.gif Flat (Stuff-free): Got home to find furballs had knocked over shredder so confetti paper now all over the floor - presumably they ran around in it a bit afterwards. Flat is in need of help.
On the upside though, those patient enough to be following will know I've struggled with washing/drying. I definitely want to buy a dehumidifier in the sales, but I've realised that in an effort to be energy-efficient with washing I tend to wait until I have a very full load. Did a small one the other day and the drying / damp / mustiness was much less of an issue. Think I'll try and do this through this wettest coldest patch of the year :j

smiley-eatdrink026.gif Food: Have eaten about 3 tonnes of cough sweets over the last 10 days and that's not about to change, it's the only way I can stop coughing at the moment. Been craving some chicken soup but that was too much like hard work yesterday so made some Tilly BNS soup and also comfort toad in the hole from freezer sausages

    smiley-think007.gif
(Not) Frittering: Little to report on this front :( I've not been out and about, but also not made positive steps. Might sit down to fleabay and gumfree etc tomorrow :o

    Hope everyone's week started well.
    xx

Get well first! Nothing else matters ... oh, and the size of a washing machine load - my 4 year old washing machine went bang last year, and the new one is a bit less powerful, and I definitely need to use smaller loads, especially as I only use Quick Wash :) I used to be able to tell when I'd stuffed it too full because some of the stuff hadn't even got wet :o let alone dried badly!

Act of faith today in the weather forecast - its vile outside, but the forecast promises sun, so I'm going to do an undies wash and really, really hope!
