  • Thanks KC; the sheep made me smile too ... I rarely have trouble dropping off though, rather the opposite.

:o:o at the size of my diary, I'm a bit too chatty for my own good - just jump in where it is, don't bother catching up :rotfl:

There's no such thing as too chatty - we love your diary! :grouphug: .... and we all witter on here (or that's what I need to believe, anyway!). But you do have a point that I should jump in again and not use muchos back-reading as more procrastination. I love reading peeps' stories right through though ....

I have this morning dropped three small things at H3rmes and then updated my fleabay spreadsheet - and signature. Until this week, absolutely no activity since I went awol, but for those who haven't left me feedback I decided to 'count' the pennies once a couple of months had elapsed so I'm confident there's no challenge.

So my total has leapt up, albeit a bit deceptively!! In the greater scheme of things it is still a dropette in the ocean ... I'm still reeling from reading on greent's diary about needing a plan to pay off BTL. But given it was all stuff I had lying around, it's an encouraging reminder that every little counts. Although I have a bunch left to try and shift, it'll definitely slow as I started with some bigger and they are all little things now, but will keep plugging on ... must be better than nothing, and possibly even a toe-claw shaving off the dinosaur ...

:hello: KC - thanks for the visit :) Lovely to 'see' you. I can't believe how close your retiring date is now looking .... You are (as always) right, today has been an absolute wipe-out as overdid it the last couple ...

Aww - bless you! I'm actually quite positive about it - after all, it's not a *massive* debt - and it's for a BTL, not my house - so worst case scenario it would get sold. That was our original plan anyway - at one point we were looking to sell it and buy something where DD goes to Uni - but with the costs involved of buying and selling for what would be a short term buy it's not worth it - far better to keep hold of a property a mile away from our house where we know the area, can drive by the property regularly (you can see it from the main road) and can use tradesmen who we know/ get recommendations from our local friends :)

And plugging on is definitely what to do - I've found a few things to ebay this week so will try and get them listed before month end so they can be in this month's free listings allowance - and can then relist for free next month if unsold :)

Look forward to reading your 2016 list at some point :)

    xx

Well done on filing the dinosaur's claws :). If you've ebay'd the best value stuff then, as you've said you have a lot to get rid off, why not concentrate on the biggest items next? I challenge you* to list five items by the end of tomorrow - even if free on Gumtree etc.

    * Only if you feel well enough

** Feeling you CBA'd and spending time mooching on diaries instead is NOT an acceptable excuse :rotfl:.

  • Thanks both, and GG for the [STRIKE]*rse-kicking[/STRIKE] excellent challenge.

Particularly well timed for two reasons. I've learnt on this board that Thursdays are good for 10 day auctions (covering 2 weekends), and stuff-riddance has now become a huge priority, of which more anon.

So mission gratefully received ... Your asterisks made me smile and think ... I will work hard today at balancing and differentiating between lethargy/exhaustion that's unwell-effects, and when it is more CBA'd. Helpful clue, as you say ... if I'm mooching on diaries I could probably and should be listing ... :rotfl:

    Will report back!

Loving the concept of filing the dinosaur's claws :) that's very wise too :):):)

Thursdays for ebay! Doh! I wonder if I can steal the time today ....

Gally's challenge is a good one, if you have the energy, Holly - you can see from your own sig how it all mounts up, and frees up space in the house, too.

    Take care :)

Hope you managed KC ... 'twas one of the top tips I remember from early days of lurking ... and I've also taken to listing fixed price things on Fridays as then 30 days always ends on a Sunday.

I did dunnit! In fact I have listed six things, more because I can't really count than to surpass the challenge. But I'm totally knackered, which is frustrating given just how little actual exertion was involved. Now tucked up in bed and if I can keep my eyes open might reward myself with a little mooch on diaries.

Thanks GG for the kick :kisses3:

  • Had a good sleep and today tried not to waste tooo much time watching for watchers on my listed items. Bizarrely, fleabay seems not to have 'counted' anything this month, so I'm still showing 20 free to list, although a few sold and lots live. Might try and get some more up on Sunday, but need not to let it become distraction for the whole weekend :o

At the risk of shocking by mentioning what's meant to be the focus of the diary, I had a couple of money shocks this morning. Both arose when I was particularly sick and not concentrating, so excusable but still a pity. Spent a loooooong time this morning trying to sort out phone package (which was one) - unsuccessful today but think I have a plan. Will post when implement!

Appointment this afternoon. Spent tube journey writing a post (shockingly about the money shocks and related dinosaur issues) which I then lost. Just goes to show not meant to be - at least not today ...

Ridiculously delighted that it was still light just after 5pm :T:T Summer surely just around the corner ...

    Happy weekends all

Summer is starting to approach, isn't it! I was finishing up in the garden earlier this week, and realised it was almost 6pm when I got inside!

Hope you feel better this weekend.

  • After money shocks of yesterday, I thought about my 3'F's which haven't seen the light for a while. This weekend is mostly about flat.

But (definitely not procrastinating) I have also done some cooking, for the first time in ages. Went well with Jaaamie frozen fish pie except that I burned the pan with milk :( Very sad about this. It's been boiling for ages with vinegar and washing-up liquid but not shifting. Any suggestions gratefully received ....
