Ooo SHS sorry I missed your pan tips before ... dishwasher tabs is a good idea, wonder if it's the same stuff as the washing powder that eventually worked. I did try sterilising liquid (good for limescale, didn't have any tablets). to thought of bleach but probably silly as could rinse it off. Lots of good ideas for next time! Thanks again :)

A lot going on in the Hollyhome. Like buses, it seems things come along on every front at once and I've been struggling to cope with the energy required. I've sat down to post more than once but never quite achieved it. Determined though that a whole week doesn't elapse ...

Muchos flat activity. Had to have floors replaced - long story. Hard to overstate the tetris-like madness required in small space when clearing everything. Deliberately spread the work across a weekend so that I could tetris/jenga, but yesterday was so utterly exahusted that I got nothing done, so today has been stoopid (again).

On the upside, the enforced moving has given me the kick / precipitated lots of sorting. Some actual sorting, some realising what needs doing. Brought into sharp focus the amount of Stuff I have. Ten items sold on fleabay today, including one that's awkward to send so I've been re-re-re-re-lisiting for months, which was fab :j

Hollyhome will definitely be better for all of this, but very hard to see that in current chaos!

    Happy Mondays all ....

Holly, I sympathise - I realised when I moved here that the *stuff* you have means that you can't use the space you own properly, because you're using it for storage of things that you just don't use. Its horrible! Never mind jenga, we need a tardis sometimes! Just keep going, you'll get there.

Thanks greent - that means a lot from the decluttering queen :)
And KC yes that's exactly it ... I keep thinking of something I read on the MK thread ages ago that you can't get out of a rut while you can't see out of it, so I'm excited that I should soon be able to do that, and although difficult it's no bad thing this has been precipitated now. But it's very hard work at the moment. hammer-smiley-emoticon.gif

This evening, 3 different canvassers for the same party came to my door within 20 minutes. I did ask the last if this was representative of the attention / efficiency their candidate would give to running London if elected mayor. But on the upside, it reminded me to apply to be a vote-counter which is apparently quite well paid for a night's work! Fingers crossed ....

I've done vote counting before (the council used to offer it to banks' staff) - good fun, but a long night! Nice bit of extra cash, too :)

Maybe you should have asked whether it was typical of level of attention to detail/their mismanagement of resources!

Vote counting sounds like a great idea :T
