Oooooh, so excited – Tilly's, GG's and Ed’s diaries were the first ones I read all through.

it’s like being visited by MFW royalty … halloween-king-smiley-emoticon.gif

And mostly to talk about the core subject of TD's smiley-chores003.gif

In closing, I have a confession to make. My TD has jaunty tunes and an app.... but I think I was mistaken about the internal light  Hey ho, that's another person struck off GG's Christmas card list.

It's when she manages to programme her phone to control Ace from afar that you'll need to worry ….
Mr E, what an admission :rotfl:

How could that not have been at the top of your requirements for buying a TD. Forget all this A+, AAA etc Tilly x x

As I understand it, Ed sacrificed the light for jaunty tunes, but is apparently now seeing the error of his ways ….
I do feel like I've lost a limb.

Well it's sad to be off Gally's Xmas card list, but not that bad ...

I thought the A+, AAA etc referred to how bright the light was :D.

    Yes dear, that's quite right.

    Proper hello Ed … :hello:
Ooh - cabbasta - love a good portmanteau in our house :D
... the surfeit of smileys does mean that it is very much NSFW ;)

Now THIS is exciting. I'm [STRIKE]known[/STRIKE] notorious [STRIKE] for being a bit obsessed with grammar / writing[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]for loving words[/STRIKE], as a pain in the rear for language … and the opening of your post taught me 2 I didn't know.
NSFW - managed to work this out after a while, ooops sorry I hadn't thought of that. Might calm down a bit if I'm in workplace in future …
portmanteau - had to look this up, thought it was another exotic concoction cooked up by you on Sunday. Very excited to learn it - I loved the name cabbasta, what first drew me to the recipe, but I'd not heard the proper term before. :D

Thanks to this / you, I've decided I'm going to try and learn a new word every day while not working, probably by random opening of dictionary each morning - or suggestions welcome!
Your eB@y clearout sounds like it is going swimmingly…. I've probably been 50/50 buy/sell over the years, but am surprised to discover that I'm at close to 1k feedback (all positive). I try and do a suitable amount of research before selling, have never been one to sell things where it wasn't worth the time.

Kind of you to say, I'm small fry compared to that - although funnily enough the other day I was thinking 50/50 selling/buying would be a good goal (have been buying for years and only selling recently). I'm pleased to discover all this 'cash' lying around although a bit horrified I didn't realise it sooner. I think it will exponentially drop after first burst, but good to be on it for now (I'm doing a bit better than my sig says but trying to be ultra conservative in case problems are raised so only 'counting' when I've had feedback or some time has elapsed )… And yes the best feature I've found is the 'sold' filter on searching - I'm not a fan of listing things for 99p (except when I needed something very heavy gone, and that duly worked!) which probably means I don't get huge bidding wars at the end but at least I know it will net a few squid :T
... Are you also making use of the gummint scheme that pays your mortgage interest?
Sadly, as I'm on contribution based JSA this isn't available to me, but thank you for the thought :)

    Hi hollybol,
I too am a confirmed non ironer. I only buy clothes that don't need ironing (or at least aren't too bad if not ironed). Smart suits and evening clothes are dry cleaned. Saves me so much time and stress.

Also have couple of clothes horses and use radiators to dry thing since i once had a td fire caused by built up of lint (it was a shared house, so no one checked).

Best of luck with job hunting

Hi Dalradian - thank you for popping in - I've followed your diary with interest.:T

:eek:Scary story / good warning about TD.:eek:

I used to spend a LOT on dry cleaning but it got ridiculous … I think there's a lot more 'washable' available now, and make do with hanging over a hot shower / bath where I possibly can ...

:T Oh yes she did …. thanks GG, I'll always know where to find it now for a good giggle :D

Been out most of today … after a slow start (I really want to start getting up earlier!), did some chores and then caught up with a friend I'd not seen for ages for a loooooooong lunch.

smiley-chores023.gif Flat (Stuff-free): Not really been here, which is a good reminder the time now is a good opportunity to sort that I normally don't have … not looking great, was a bit  when I walked back in this evening. Out a lot of tomorrow too, so then need to knuckle down!

smiley-eatdrink026.gif Food: Taastecard has a few days left to run, so we had lunch in Zizzzi … obviously meant we had to have 3 courses as it was most bargainous. Included pizza with BNS, pesto and goats cheese … they have clearly been taking lessons from MWC. Sooooooo full now.

    deposit-into-piggy-bank-smiley-emoticon.gif (Not) Frittering:
      • RM item sent
      • Bargainous lunch for £12 each …. given that we sat there for 5 1/2 hours, was a pretty good deal :)
      • Got another feedback from sold item so updated fleabay spreadsheet of wonder - when I noticed a mistake in formula meaning I actually had to reduce my running total :(
      • smiley-sad058.gif In sad news, the good keyboard to my lovely tablet I-da (pronounced to rhyme with 'ta-da!!!') is busticated. I do use it a lot especially at the moment but they are  pricey. Note to self to chase Ama3on vouchers from EEEEE

Night all …. over half way through the week now :T

    • :money:Out and about but popping on to say in some time to kill between things I walked past a Pizzza Xpress and remembered the weekly email - if you are near one, just nip in and ask for some Freee Snoball Doughballls ... they are delicious:T
      Thanks MSE:beer:

Be careful with those Tastecards if they have your bank details. I understand that, unless you make sure that you've cancelled it, they'll auto renew, and they are very awkward about refunds! If you are eating out during the week, a lot of restaurants have online vouchers, which are just as good as the Tastecard discounts, so that's a good alternative:)

    • Thanks Goldie - absolutely right I've heard the same. In fairness, when I called (the 0800 number) to cancel they were very good and sent me an email confirming cancellation while I was on the phone ... but your post has reminded me to check next week that they've stuck to it.

And yes that has cheered me up a bit - there are plenty of vouchers around so when I really 'need' to eat out at the moment I will just steer towards them :)

Like the sno balll doh balls though, would undoubtedly be better for my waistline if I didn't ;)
