What would you do if your husband pulled a 'Les Coker'? (Eastenders current story line)
Ask him for fashion tips as most of the time my style is "hobo on a budget" :rotfl:Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0 -
I just don't get it what thrill men get from this.
I'm a woman, if I put on "men's" clothes, jeans & a shirt/tshirt illy doesn't give me any sort of thrill.
I don't cross dress, but I would imagine that the thrill of stepping outside societies accepted norms is part of the appeal. Society tells men they shouldn't dress in women's clothes, but with the possible exception of a suit and tie, nobody bats an eyelid if women wear men's clothes.0 -

even with the suit and tie no one bats an eyelid :rotfl:0 -
Studies have found no consistent reason for why some men like to cross dress. In some cases, it doesn't even appear to be for sexual arousal or for a 'thrill' - it is just something they either enjoy doing or have the urge to do.I just don't get it what thrill men get from this.

There's some evidence that in a few cases it might be a learned behaviour from childhood. An inquisitive young child might try on his mother's or sister's clothing and grow fond of them. Some have speculated it might be because female underwear is often softer than male underwear, and indeed, to an extent female clothing in general might also be softer and simply feel a bit nicer and thus the brain begins to associate dressing in female clothing with a positive response.
Similarly, others have suggested that in houses where female and male clothing are washed separately, some may use 'feminine' scents in the wash that aren't used on the male clothes. Again the young child with his still developing brain might come to favour that scent and the brain links the item to the scent. If you think back to a particularly favoured childhood toy, the chances are that you will be able to remember how it felt or how it smelt without it actually being present.
Where it is for a thrill, it is most likely because it is considered somewhat taboo in society, though it may also be related to submissive tendencies.0 -
I'd say that's fine... but you can move out now.

A couple of years ago Swedish train drivers started wearing skirts to work. It was a blistering hot summer and staff were not permitted to wear shorts to work but skirts were allowed so that's what the men started wearing too.

I wouldn't mind if my OH was a cross dresser. What would upset me is being lied to, deceived and having a whole part of him hidden from me for 40 years. It's only EastEnders though. The concept of commuting to other parts of London for work still hasn't reached E20 so I don't know if they are ready for a cross dressing undertaker.0 -
I don't think I'd mind! If my OH wanted to wear a dress, heels and make-up just because he liked it, I don't imagine that it would change anything. He's been known to wear a skirt around the house or at a festival the odd time just because it was comfy! Why would I restrict what he wants to wear? I'd like to think there'd be national outrage if women were told they couldn't wear trousers these days.

Trousers are universal, skirts are not.
If your partner is putting a skirt on because it is comfy, then he is confused about his sexuality.0 -
