Oh! And also I would pop by the Old Style Forum, they have loads of money saving tips for food shopping, ( and other bits) Ive managed to reduce our weekly shopping to 50 gbp per week for a family of four:j
I buy pressies on ebay or amazon these days, I found that every time I went shopping for someone else's presents I ended up buying sthg for myself
Also we now have a spreadsheet for expenses where I keep truck of every pound we spend , we always use cash and that alone has made a big difference on our expenditure
Happy journey!0 -

Council Tax. £81.00 See if you can spread over 12 months instead of 10
Gas & electric. £68.00 Try and cut this back, switch things off, think about changing supplier
Christmas. £50.00

Also I'd suggest a spending diary because i'm guessing you actually don't have money left over at the end of the month so you need to find out where the money is going. It could be the odd magazine at the corner shop, a chocolate bar at lunch time, a top up shop that you pay for in cash so forgot about it. It all adds up quickly and is very surprising how easily money is spent without any clue where it has gone. I bet most of us on here can say that at one point or another we've had say £20 cash in our pocket and by the end of the day have just a few ££'s left and can't actually remember where most of it was spent.0

cleaning products £280.00 Groceries always seems to be the hardest one for everybody, but see if you can cut this to £250 to start with as this will be an extra £30 towards a debt yes this is a good point and I think I need to work on cutting down here. I have to admit I'm terrible at budgeting for a shop but I'm going to work really hard.
Council Tax. £81.00 See if you can spread over 12 months instead of 10 good idea I didn't know I could do this.
Gas & electric. £68.00 Try and cut this back, switch things off, think about changing supplier I've looked into changin supplier but I seem to be on a pretty cheap tariff so going to stick with them but yes you're right definitley need to reduce gas/ electric consumption. I'm going to try and put off usin the central heating as long as possible, cardigans, blankets and hot water bottles for now.
Christmas. £50.00

Reward account. £15.00 If you're not benefitting from this, downgrade/cancel it I was thinking about this last night, however I'm a little reluctant to cancel as I get AA which I've used a few times and since my car isn't amazing I could do with keeping it, I've got mobile insurance through them and holiday insurance which I've used 3 times. I am meant to get £5 back every month but previously since I was always in my overdraft I never got it but I'm out of it now and plan to keep out of it.
