Subscribing. Need to read your diary from the start so will say a proper hello a little later on!0

Heya :waves:
I've read your diary from the beginning, and you've made great progress. I know it probably doesn't feel that way, but I promise you have.
You've had your LBM, and you've proven that you can budget and that you don't have to get further into debt. You've also seen your GP about depression - that's a massive thing to do, and was probably responsible for a lot of the debt in the first place. Get yourself into a better mental state, and then you can look at your finances again.
You've proven that you can do it, you've just realised that there was an issue you had to deal with first.... so you're dealing with it. That sounds eminently sensible to me.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Hey I have screwed up!!! I have gotten into further debt. I just don't know if I will ever get out of this mess.
I'm still on a mission to get a better paid job and know that will be a glimmer of hope if I can do that but I have stopped sticking to my budget and ended up in my overdraft again.
I feel completely hopeless. I'm taking steps to improve my mental health by going to counselling sessions but unless I tackle this debt I'll never get better. I think I need to get back to basics again0 -
:hello:
Hi Pops we've missed you
Welcome back and I am sorry you have been feeling poorly
So you have had a minor set back and....... Been there, done that
Its not the end of the world. The main thing is you're back and are going to carry on where you left off.
As you say the debt is adding to your mental health problems and you're acknowledging it needs dealing with. Thats a start also.
Remember, small steps and you CAN do it. :A

And
I have been worried about you. Please try not to stress too much about the debt. Its only money (says me) :rotfl:
Keep posting even if you haven't made much progress, or even if you need a moan. Honestly its what has kept me going.
I am living with an absolute twonk of a OH at the moment but I refuse to let him bring me down.
I still have a very long way to go on my journey but with the support and giggles I get from this site will see me through. It will you too
I hope you and your son had a nice Xmas by the way.SP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

HIYA!!!! Welcome back, you have been missed Pops.
Update the signature to take the changes into account, and take it in tiny segments.
You wouldn't eat a victoria sponge in one go, face first. Slices, that is what to focus on. Try not to focus on the big picture, just what is on your plate and manageable in one sitting.
Well done on getting your head sorted.
Happy February, just a short month until payday.
And yes, I have been told my optimism and cheerfulness is really bl**dy annoying and totally misplaced (I just ignored them, the fools).
Hope there is less stress and more sunshine in your life... starting........3,2,1....NOW, and remember we are always here (well, one of us is bound to be knocking about somewhere) whenever you want to have a virtual cuppa and get it off your chest.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
